Where are some of the Character Dinners Held, and which are good?
We will be staying at VWL (FIRST TRIP "HOME") Feb 11-16.

Thanks
Tom

What you have to decide is what characters you want to see. My favourite is Crystal Palace at MK the food is great and I get to see Tigger :bounce:

We like the character dinner at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian. When we were there in September the characters were Pooh and friends but now it is Cinderella and friends.

Chef Mickeys at the Contemporary is also good. Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale, Goofy and Pluto are there. We have been to earch of these restaurants quite a few times and have been pleased each visit with service and food.

As Tiggery mentioned, you need to decide what characters you want to see. I have left you a link to where the characters dine. Take a look at that and then decide what fits you. Hope I've helped, have fun!! :jester:

Where the characters dine

DH and I never did character dinners, but we did have two character breakfast meals at Hollywood and Vine with Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Chip and Dale. The other was at Crystal Palace with Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, and Tigger. We had a blast at both and will fit them into our schedule again this May if, (no not if, WHEN) we make it back. :D :p

We enjoyed character dinners at the Grand Floridian and also at the Liberty Tree Tavern in MK.

If you are thinking about just one, I'd choose LTT over GF. LTT is all you can eat but is preplated. The characters there (minnie, goofy, pluto, chip & dale) have on colonial clothing.

Hi scatt,

Welcome to the DIS. We consider the Character Dinner at Chef Mickey's to be the best. We have dinner there on the last full day of each trip. It is a fun, loud type of place. Music is playing and there is singing and napkin waving every half hour or so. We enjoy the prime rib and mashed potates.

If you are interested in maybe doing a Character Breakfast I would reconmend 1900 Park Fare at the GF.

While Chef Mickey's gets a bad rap from some around here, we really like the dinner. We have also done breakfast and won't do that again. Anyway, dinner is good and wonderful character interaction. Chef Mickey's is always a must for us.

For those who like the Disney princesses, you can meet them for breakfast at Cinderella's castle.
