Where is my FAVORITE DCL cast member?

Anyone seen Ronald Corpuz from the Philippines? I last saw him on the Fantasy and would like to request him agin depending on which ship he is on.

We cruised on the fantasy in march 2013, -and ate at palo for dinner then brunch the next day. Does anyone know the female server who looked like Sandra bullock ?

We had Ronald as our Server in 2009. He returned to DCL in 2012 (as an assistant server, to get re-trained). He was apparently on the Maiden Fantasy ... though we were not able to find him. I spoke with a Head Server in December 2012 when we were back on the Fantasy ... was told he had resigned from DCL.

I keep in touch with Laszlo on Facebook. He did tell me he was hoping to get back into Palo for this contract. As some may know, DCL does not necessarily hold spots open for cast members ... rather ... returning cast members fill in available spaces. In this case, there wasn't room for him in Palo when his contract began. As of now, I believe he is indeed in Palo.

the server birthday thing is quite nice....

i suggest starting a separate thread since it will get buried here inside this ever lengthening "have you seen" thread.......

I thought about a separate thread ... but figured keeping everything in one place was best (overall) - especially since it is related to our DEAR cast members. This method is similar to keeping important information on the first page of a DCL Cruise Meet. From time to time, I will re-announce the birthday segment in the thread. That way, I can add proper information (making sure we have server's last name and home country) in an orderly fashion (page 1) ... especially since people new to the thread will likely read the first page of a thread. If a separate thread was created, I believe people would be posting birthday information over several pages ... and I am sure there would be other information posted, which would dilute the thread. With birth months listed by month, I feel it is easy for guests to search the list for servers with a birthday during their upcoming cruise (rather than by name, since many guests do not know last names).

I also started to post a few pictures of servers. I am able to post pictures of other servers, but would only want to post pictures if someone is in touch with that server, and has permission to post their picture. Likewise, with the birth month, I want to make sure the cast member has given permission ... and also, that we do not post a birth year, or birth day/date (too personal).

If warranted, I can always strip the information from this thread, and create a separate thread.

Also, has anyone run across a former PALO server by the name of Sylvester? He created a MAGICal experience after the WB Transatlantic in 2007, but we've lost track of him and bartender Jerome.

Thanks! We loved him for several trips on the Magic. Then at 10 years he retired. We saw him in 2011 on the Fantasy and he told us he was trying to get back to the Magic. He said it was his DCL home. I will miss him.

Sylvester was still on the Magic in August, serving in Palo ... Possibly one of the best server I've ever had ! A great great guy indeed !

Wira was on the Magic in October 2012 and February this year, but we didn't see him when we were on in April. He did tell us in February that they were moving him to a different position and out of the MDR, but I can't remember what something to do with managing the adult bars.

We had Sylvester in Palo on the Magic in Sept 2012!!! He was the BEST!!!! I hope to have him again when we go next October!

Glad to hear Sylvester is still working. We hope he'll be onboard next September, we won't be on the MAGIC until then for the WB Transatlantic.

And hopefully someone can confirm what Wira is currently up to.

Another vote for Sammy (Sompong) from the Magic! He was our server this past week...he was excellent. I love his sing-song way of speaking and he has a great sense of humour. His assistant was Kristina from Croatia...she was very sweet, too.

Wondering if Richard, from France, was still a head server on the Wonder? I searched a few posts and saw he had been seen on the Dream last year, but also saw a recent post that he was on an Alaskan sailing on the Wonder. He was fantastic and we would love to request him on our next sailing on the Wonder.

@jey12 yes! Just got off the Wonder and he is now dining room manager.We adored him, he was especially kind to my two year old son.

Other amazing cast members: Head server: Santana Fernandes and Assistant Server Abby Conkleton. Especially for those families with young children!

We also had Sasha at Palo and he was wonderful

The Fantasy Maiden Voyage was March 2012 ... not 2011. I *thought* he returned to DCL for the Fantasy Maiden Voyage ... but could be wrong. As I understood, since he was newly returning to DCL, he had to be brought back as an Assistant Server. Fantasy Server friends of mine told me he was a new-return to the Fantasy when we were on the Maiden Voyage.

Main Dining Room - Zsolt Szep (Hungary) or Radoslav "Rado" Hristev (Bulgaria)

Palo - Ivan Frick (Hungary) ... there are TWO Ivan's in Palo on the Fantasy, so make sure you specify Ivan FRICK.

Remy - We have only ever been to Remy once ... but I will check with my Palo server for suggestions.

For Palo and Remy requests ... it is best to make the request upon embarkation, versus requesting through your Travel Agent (or DCL). This is very important to remember, as not all servers work every Brunch. When you make a request at embarkation, the Palo and/or Remy Manager is generally available ... as such ... they have access to the scheduled shifts.

*** REMEMBER, when you request someone, please remember to tell them you heard about hem on DISboards. I have found it gives the servers an extra boost of excitement ... and they tend to make sure they take extra good care of you!

If anyone has enjoyed Angela from Serbia as their assistant server we just got off the Magic and she is FINALLY headed home today. (I think she said she was supposed to get off before the refurb then got extended till November then extended again and got her plane ticket during this past cruise)
She was the best CM I've EVER had on any DCL cruise!
She told us she wouldn't be returning for 3-4 years
Hopefully we can see her again!
