Where is Lotso?

My 17 year old niece was determined to get her picture taken with every character we saw, so the kids got their picture taken with Lotso. But he was great-when the kids were leaving, he realized that my DD12 was wearing her LGM t-shirt and motioned for her to come back and had a picture taken with just her and the cutout of an LGM in the background. It was really cute, and you forgot that he was the "bad guy".

And didn't everyone cry at the end of Toy Story 3? :lmao:

***SPOILER***

I love villains as much as the next guy, but Lotso is the WORST. For goodness sake, he was going to throw them all into the incinerator. Maleficent has nothing on that. Nor does the Evil Queen. I think those villains are cool. There is nothing innately awe-inspiring about Lotso.

Which makes his veneer all the more brilliant on Pixar's part...

***SPOILER***

I agree... my 5 y/o sobbed thru the last 30 minutes of the movie. There is no way in h-e-double hockey sticks that she (or I) would want a hug and picture from Lotso. I'd much rather get a pic w/ the three aliens. :dance3:

My 36 year old fiance and I BOTH sobbed through the last 30 minutes and we hate Lotso a lot. I can't believe they'd put him anywhere other than the villains parade.

I felt kind of the same way about this when I saw the movie. I wondered how many small children will be traumatized when the meet Lotso and the other thought that crossed my mind was WTH is Disney thinking?

That said, after a moment of gathering my thoughts, Captain Hook, Cinderella's step family and Maleficent are all very popular and can be found at the parks. I guess there definitely is some interest in meeting the bad guys too.

I love the Spanish Buzz idea:rotfl2:

Well lets look at their populatrity in a diffrent way, Captain Hook is popular because he is a pirate, The step Family is popular because their actresses do a good job of making the characters funny, Maleficent is popular because she is the all powerful villain and everyone just thinks that its cool.

Lotso on the other hand is a physlogical, sort of dictator like teddy bear who may appear plush and cuddley on the outside, but is really heartless and scarred on the inside, just think about how many toys were destroyed at the dump since he arrived at sunnydale.

I beg disney to replace him with another character like one of Bonnies toys.

I haven't seen Toy Story 3 yet so I don't know how much of a villain he is, but before I even had any idea what his role was in the movie the character creeped me out a little. I think it's the eyebrows. They're so big and pink and... looming.
