I have to book a cabin and curious it is better at the front or the back? I can't get the middle which is what I prefer but which would be the better choice???

Thanks

We prefer being toward the aft end if the middle is not available.

Is that because of movement?? THis is our first cruise and want the most stable area...so to speak

Thanks

We prefer aft, as it is only one set of steps up to the buffet, mickey pool, and scoops -- all places we frequent. I've stayed in all areas of cruise ships, and I didn't really see a noticable difference in any of the areas, but some people have definite areas they prefer.

I've been aft on both of my cruises. The first time because there was no other option (needed a handicapped access room), but chose it second time because (1) I'd read on these boards that stairs/elevators were less crowded there and (2) like stated above, it's so convenient to Topsiders, soda machine, Mickey Pool, Animator's Palate, Parrot Cay. Especially if you're on deck 6 or so, it's only 2 or 3 flights up or down to anything, and definitely faster than the elevator.
As far as movement, I can't compare since I haven't stayed in other areas, but it never bothered me a bit; in fact I found it soothing, but am not sensitive to motion as others might be.

I also can not compair aft or forward...but i can say we stayed almost as far forward as you can get...and LOVED it. we didn't feel any more movement there than anywhere else on the ship... we were close to the forward elevators..and I can say they were not overly busy...I think the worst ones are the mid elevators. Of course being forward..you are FAR away from the beverage station...well farther than those who are on the aft areas.

But anyways....forward was good....matter of fact we had our choice of all over the ship when we rebooked...and picked forward again. LOVED it. :cool1:

We prefer being aft or closer to aft, even for non-Disney cruises. On DCL for the same reasons as the other posters stated-closer to pools, beverages, restaurants, etc. Unless you are not going with children, then forward might be a better choice as the adult pool and the spa are near the front of the ship.

We like Forward better on Deck 6 because it is close to what we use the ship for! Just one deck down to the Kids Lab and easy for my son to get back & forth to the room. It is 3 decks right up to the Spa and my husband & I use the Rain Forest room alot. And then Bingo is 3 decks right below us and we have to play that every night with our 8 yr old! We have been aft, forward and middle and forward is much better for us. Movement wise I thought all 3 were about the same.
