Where is Goofy's candy shop?

Goofy's is in Downtown Disney. Love the hand dipped chocolate covered mickey rice krispie treat but warning it is sugar overload, they dip it a bunch of times and the chocolate is thick.:woohoo:

Does anyone know how late they are open? Can't seem to find hours anywhere. I'm going in January. I got the rice crispy one last time and OMG it was FANTASTIC. Though I didn't realize you could get multiple toppings so I just got the reeses. It was loaded! LOL! It took me days to eat it!

I think 10:30 or 11:00 depending on the day of the week. I would like to chime in my favorites. I love the turtles in white chocolate. Their chocolate covered pretzels and marshmallows also rock over at the build your own candy spot. I am not sure there is anything bad in there.

Lots of things in there are snack credits, including the rice krispy treats, pretzel rods, and marshmallows! We went every night last trip after the parks! For a change of pace, get to OKW and take the boat over to DD! Very relaxing 20 min. ride!

The build your own snacks are the best bang for your buck with the snack credit! And so yummy! It took me like 4 days to eat mine!

Per quite a few reports, some of the make your own treats are now excluded from the snack credits. It seems to vary day by day, CM by CM. Your best bet is to ask when you get there which items the snack credits can be used on.

I'm disappointed in this as most reports have said that the MYO Mickey Rice Krispy Treat is now excluded. Some have stated being able to get it but only with the coating, none of the toppings. I was so looking forward to one dipped in dark chocolate, topped with pecans, and drizzled w/caramel.:sad2:

Are you allowed to use your snack credit on any of these items ??

When we were there on October 10, we were told that you could not use snack credits to create your own Mickey Rice Krispy treats and pretzel rods. They would, however, dip them in your choice of chocolate, but no toppings were included. We said thanks, but no thanks.

Our last day tradition has always been to head to Goofy's to make our own treats as souvenirs. We hardly ever use our snack credits in the parks, so we would get several items. We were so disappointed that they no longer allowed you to use snack credits. We ended up getting some items from the case, but it just wasn't the same. :sad1:

Looking at the positive, the line to check out was really short!

Goofy's is the BEST!!! So many different sweets and cakes to try - I could spend all vacation in there!! There are some pictures of the make-your-own treats in my food reports if you are interested!

When I was there Sept 26th and again a few days later, I asked both times and was told that the only MYO treat that was allowed for a snack credit was the marshmallows and gingerbread something. None of the rice crispy treats or cookies were allowed. Oh yes, she did say I could get one single pretzel rod dipped with one coating and one topping. I told her no thank you and walked over to the other section and got a milk chocolate turtle and a piece of fudge. Something else that's not even available there anymore are the milk chocolate covered mint slab smoothies. I love those, but she said they are no longer making them.:sad1: Goofy should be ashamed!

I am not sure if this is one reason why they stopped or not
I was there in May a large family maybe 2 families traveling together came in.
They had 22 snack credits and demanded to have dipped products done immeditly so they could fly home with them
The CMs had to stop everything else and do the treats the family dropped off the sheets of paper and took off shopping.
The one CM had tears in her eyes and called a manager to explain the had like 20 min to do this in.

I do npot think the fanily relized it takes so long to make theese, the just wanted what they felt intitled too and said as much

Like you said, I think it has a lot to do with the huge lines that were always there and a loss of time. I also think it was a way for Disney to cut back on manpower. When we've been there on previous trips, there's always been at least three people working behind the MYO counter. This trip, there was only one person, and she had nothing to do but stand there.

Unfortunately, I think it's just another victim of Disney raising prices and cutting quality. :sad2:

Wow, that's really too bad. When I went in Dec 2008, yes the line was HUGE but it was worth it! I'd have to say I'll probably get one anyway because they're so just so cool and so good! :) (Not sure if I'm doing the DDP since we're only there for 4 nights but I'll get one regardless.)

I hope that I remember to get one of those white chocolate turtles. They sound so good!!! :goodvibes
