Outside was an acrobatic show, we watched this for a while. The women were wonderful performers.

I had to get a picture of the Phineas and Ferb topiary, I saw on social media where it looks like Phineas is giving the finger to Ferb. Disney had him hold a flower to remedy that!

We rode SE with our FP$

My plan was an early lunch in Mexico. We shared the nachos with a side of guacamole. A little tip is you can go inside La Hacienda to eat your lunch. It is really nice in there and never very crowded. The deck seating overlooking the water is always very crowded. We went in, sat at a booth and enjoyed our lunch. It probably seemed a little silly to be eating QS with all the F&G booths but it was a great lunch.

After lunch, we went around the world to look at more topiaries. Epcot is just beautiful this time of year.



I did see Quincy from All Ears but didn’t say anything to her. She was the only You Tube person I saw. I’m sure more people were out filming on the first day.

I wanted D to try the delicious bread pudding from Germany. We headed over and I ordered the pretzel bread pudding for us to share. This is very good and we both loved it!

We headed back to the old FW, I never can remember Discovery Nature, Celebration etc.. It will always be Future World to me. I wanted to check out Creations Shop, well it had a huge queue so we passed on this.

We did check out Club Cool We actually got to try the soda without a ton of people around the dispenser, and don’t worry the floor is sticking again

It was time for our GotG fancy ride. It was just starting to sprinkle a little bit as we approached the ride. We made it inside before it rained. We did have about a 15 minute wait before the preshow. We made it to the ride and got row 1. It was the first time I was in the first vehicle. We got Conga for our song. Not my favorite but still such a fun ride! I still have not had September, it is the only one I haven’t had.

I had reserved the Behind the Seeds tour for 3:30pm, it was around 2pm. We went in the Butterfly Garden to look around, we only saw 1-2 butterflies. I had a LwtL FP up next. The ride had a few nods to F&G.


We also did Soarin right after with concourse B, row 2, great ride.

D had not seen Awesome Planet and we had time to spare so we went in and watched the movie. It is nice and relaxing.

The Land was packed because of the rain outside. We decided to get a Diet Coke at Seasons while we waited for our tour.

The tour was great. We had a very knowledgeable CM, she has worked in the Land for 15 years. Her name was W. Just the letter. I should have sent a cast compliment for her she was wonderful. There were 12 of us on the tour. We started in an area where they work on pest control for the greenhouse. It was really interesting! We moved on into the Greenhouse and learned about growing plants vertically! It was cool to see it up close.

W said it is stressful on the plants and the main reason they do it is for the guests. It makes it more exciting. I never thought about that or how much work goes into pest control! We continued on and tried some cucumber slices. W told us they are growing a bunch of cucumbers in tubes because is makes the shape of Mickey when you cut the cucumber. It was requested by a bride having a Disney wedding, wow I bet that wedding costs a pretty penny!

I took this picture because Andi and Kait want to grow plants in an aquarium like this. I did learn you have to keep it covered to prevent mold buildup because of all the moisture.

Here is a picture of are tour guide W. This is a Mickey plant that you cannot see on the ride.

The tour is an hour long and it went by quickly. I would recommend this tour, especially if LwtL is a favorite of yours!

We headed back to the resort after the tour to take a little rest. Our plan was to have a corn dog for dinner at the Blue Ribbon Corn Dog booth on the Boardwalk before heading to MK for extra magic hours.

We took a rest for an hour or so then we got our corn dogs. We both went with the traditional corn dog, this was really good, I liked it better than the one with the pickle in it.

Once we finished our corn dogs, it was time to take the bus to MK. I was able to make a FP for JC, Pirates, and HM.

We watched the fireworks from Fantasy Land. We rode PPF, Teacups, Ariel, and Buzz before getting a Mickey pretzel and heading out. I had the cream cheese pretzel D had Mickey.


We didn’t wait for 7DMT this trip and D was not interested in Tron so we rode everything we wanted.

Side note: apparently someone had a poop accident in GotG queue today, it was all over social media, it was disgustingly bad! It was not when we were in the queue. I can’t believe someone just sh** all over the wall/floor in the queue. Did anyone else hear about this? It was on 3/5 in the evening!

Today was the first day of F&G! I love this festival. It is my favorite of all the festivals. Epcot was celebrating 30 years of F&G.

It is my favorite festival, too. I love seeing the topiaries, especially the new ones. And it seemed like there were several new ones this year.

We rode Remy with our FP and waited only about 5 minutes. The SB line was at 55 minutes. We enjoyed our ride and headed out of WS for now.

Remy at rope drop isn't always a short line. There are just too many resort guests who enter at the International Gateway to make it a short wait for those that come in the main Epcot gate. We used the single rider line for Remy and had a five-minute wait. My husband and I sat in the same car. He was just behind me instead of next to me. I think this is a great way to enjoy the ride if you are already familiar with it.

We both enjoyed The Finding Nemo show

We haven't done this since 2022 and we need to go back.

I have to say The Lion King show was awesome and the better of the two, probably not a surprise for most!

And this is why we haven't done Nemo. We enjoy FOTLK too much.

After our photo shoot, we headed to the bus stop and a bus was waiting for us, yay score!

Our plan was a little rest and DS for the evening except we decided to just hang around the Boardwalk area.

It sounds like this was much more relaxing than DS.

Andi and I are planning to stay at The Swan in early September. We have never stayed there. The rooms are refurbished and I got a room with a balcony. It was $1300 dollars less than any Disney resort in this area. I got an AP discount. I need that $1300 for our Epic portion of the trip!

I'm looking forward to reading your review of this stay.

Our plan was to enjoy all the topiaries and decorations today and visit food booths tomorrow. We toured this way today thinking it would be very crowded at the food booths and we didn’t want to spend a ton of time waiting in line.

I’m excited to see the topiaries in late May! I never saw the Moana one because we never went to the front. SE was the closest to the front in March

I can usually gauge ride lines now and I knew it was going to be at least 45 minutes. If we didn’t have a FP at 0900 I would have maybe waited. I did learn the single rider line opened at 0900 so that was good!

There was only a few brussel sprouts on the vines and normally it would produce way more in the time it took to have the few in LwtL

Yes the in the GotG queue terrible. I’m glad we had already been on the ride several hours before that awful incident.
In Seasons there was only 2 cashiers and the line we got in for our Diet Coke was at a standstill because of someone trying to figure out the dining plan and the CM had no idea they had to call a manager and it took forever but at least when we got up to the CM, he said just go on through! Free Diet Coke yay!

I love this one with Miss Piggy and Kermit. I sure will miss the Muppets but I am excited for Monsters Inc. I love Sully! I plan to do the Muppet attraction one more time in May!

It is by far the best show, if you have some time Nemo is really enjoyable
