Where is Dino Land? New TR here! Update 5/31**

Our trip was March 9-13, just after your trip, and I was surprised to have some cool mornings. It was great weather.
We did just miss you. The weather was beautiful a little chilly at times which I am not use to at Disney since we travel at hot times mostly! Like soon!
The dip looks delicious.
This was delicious, we loved it!
This would be a huge negative. It would be hard to stay there for multiple days. They probably stuck you in that room since you were only there for one night. We had a room that faced the highway when we were at Disneyland. But the noise was minimal. They had installed a double set of windows.
It was really bad! I can’t believe they don’t have better windows in a room that is all windows facing a busy road, ugh!
I don't love the hot weather, which is why we can tolerate only one summer trip a year. At least the summer clothes are easier to pack than the winter ones.

Have a great time! We will once again be following you - June 8-12.
It is definitely easier to pack without a ton of layers! I hope you have a wonderful trip. It will be hot for you to!
Oh no! Never have that problem with Disney no matter where you're staying which is kind of nice. I wouldn't have been thinking of this but now you have me wondering for my July trip we're staying at Sapphire Falls and I wonder if we'll have that same issue :scared1:
My stay at SF was wonderful in December, I did have a water view and it was very quiet!
Oh that is bad
I hated that room haha 🤣
Thanks for sharing! It was fun to follow along!
:thanks: I’m glad to see you back on the boards and as always it was wonderful to see you December!
Have so much fun! Can't wait to hear all about it!
Thank you! I leave tomorrow. It is a short trip for me but I have several more after this one!
Your room noise is one of the reasons I always sleep with a white noise app. But I also just can't sleep if the room is completely quiet. I guess I hate hearing myself breathe???
I should have a white noise machine for travel! The older I get any noise irritates me from others/roads in a hotel!
I'm glad you had a nice last day. And I love the picture of the lake as you get into Duluth. I miss lakes. After growing up in MN, it's weird that the last 2 states I lived in basically don't have lakes. Maybe that explains my pool obsession???
I usually always arrive home after dark so this was really nice to see the big lake! The lake is really beautiful to look at, to cold to ever go in, lol 😂
Anyway, have a great trip! I hope to see you in a week!
Thank you! I hope to see you Sunday night or Monday!

Unlike Disney, Universal’s unlimited EP allows you to ride everything multiple times, no limit like FP$$ and even the new Ultimate FP$$. :sad2:
This is something Disney needs to stand up and pay attention to.
This was our view. The picture is through the window so not the best! Room number was 3457
I had almost the exact same room/view when I stayed there. Such a perfect location!
The boat transportation was the plan! The boats are awesome at Universal. Never a long wait and a nice calm ride to Citywalk.
I adore the boat transport there. So easy, convenient, and at times FUN!
Our first ride was ET! We love this ride. I always have to start with this ride.
That may be my favorite ride there!
No smart TVs at PB so we had to endure commercials! :rotfl:
LOL! 1st world problems.
This is when tragedy struck. I noticed I only had one gift card in my wallet! I searched every little spot in my tiny wallet, (it basically is just a card holder with one zipped pocket) so after several checks and separating my other cards I knew it wasn’t there. I checked my HP crossbody bag inside and out! Oh my goodness it was no where to be found! I had paid $120 for it and it had $150 on it. Needless to say this did put a damper on our delicious food.
Just ugh. I know that punch-in-the-gut feeling.
I went in to plead my case. First they checked with lost and found and nothing, the TM did take my receipt looked at it and said wait here. Well, we waited about 20 minutes and she came back with a new card with the $150 on it! Wow I was really happy. She canceled the other one in case someone tried to use it and gave me the new one! I thanked her many times and I felt so much better! I honestly to this day don’t know what happened to it! :confused3
That was SO nice of her! She definitely went the extra mile and that makes me so happy!

But, yeah, that's super odd! I've had that happen too with things just vanishing.

:faint: That
Sigh... lovely!
It was a big room but incredibly noisy. We closed the curtains to try and buffer some of the traffic noise. It helped a little but it even sounded at times like airplanes were taking off on that road! Ugh 😣
Just bad. I stayed in a room at Endless Summer once. Same thing, but neighbor noise. THE WORST!! So bad I asked to change. Do they NOT pay attention at all to the noise factor at this resort?
I put my earplugs in at bedtime and hoped for a little sleep. 😴 I think I got a few hours.
Any hotel room you have to wear earplugs in is a bad hotel.

This is something Disney needs to stand up and pay attention to.
I agree! I think it is harder to get FP$$ after the initial 3 except for at MK, it is expensive!
I had almost the exact same room/view when I stayed there. Such a perfect location!
It was a great location and I really liked the room
I adore the boat transport there. So easy, convenient, and at times FUN!
It is the best!
That may be my favorite ride there!
I love ET, such a quirky little ride but totally love it!
That was SO nice of her! She definitely went the extra mile and that makes me so happy!

But, yeah, that's super odd! I've had that happen too with things just vanishing.
It really was! I was really happy I went to check, D encouraged me to at least ask. I am also very glad I did t lose my receipt
Just bad. I stayed in a room at Endless Summer once. Same thing, but neighbor noise. THE WORST!! So bad I asked to change. Do they NOT pay attention at all to the noise factor at this resort?
It was so loud I can’t believe they thought this was okay when building the resort, ugh 😑
Any hotel room you have to wear earplugs in is a bad hotel.
True!

I can't wait to hear about your trip.

I love your shirt.
:welcome: And :thanks: it was a fun trip overall!

Where is Dino Land? part 2, and the Backside of Gerty!

Hello Everyone,

I decided to continue on in this thread for my solo trip.

My trip was 5/21-5/26. 6 nights at WDW. I was really excited for this trip. I wanted to take it easy and enjoy the little things! Find out if I take my own advice. I had a few Dis meets, however, the majority of the trip I was on my own.

5/21/25: Travel Day!

Here is my trip photo in the mirror before I leave, haha 😂 I tried to get my Minnie sweatshirt in the picture.

It was very chilly out this day, only around 43 degrees. Orlando was the opposite with a high of 96 and humid this day.

I worked for a few hours in the morning before my husband Joe took me to the airport. My flight was scheduled to leave at 12:00.

I was upgraded to first class for this short flight. Our flight left right on time and we were in Minneapolis by 1:00.

I made my way to the Delta lounge. I had lunch in the lounge and a Diet Coke. The lounge had a good chicken sandwich, pasta, vegetables 🥗 and desserts. I listened to my book on Audible. My next flight was scheduled to take off at 3:40. I noticed I was upgraded to comfort +, it was a middle seat “meh” but I got better snacks and drinks.

This flight boarded on time and was full. We took off right at 3:45, yay! I had a vodka cranberry and snacks along the way. The flight was uneventful. I watched 1883 on Paramount+ Elsa is fearless! For those that have watched this series know what I am talking about!

We arrived in Orlando a few minutes early. Love seeing this ugly MCO carpeting! It means my trip is just starting! Yay 😁

I headed down to the baggage claim area and picked up my suitcase pretty quickly! I have Sky priority and my luggage comes out in the first round. Makes picking up my luggage nice and quick.

I ordered a Lyft and was on my way around 8:30 to AS Sports ⚽️ I did notice how hot and humid it was when I stepped outside. I was loving it 🥰 I love hot weather, stay tuned for my opinion on this along the way, do I change my mind?

I arrived at AS around 9pm. I had received my room ready text in Minneapolis. I was in Surf’s Up on the 2nd floor. I did stop in the lobby to make sure my MB worked for room access, since I had trouble my last trip. It did work and I was all set.

I found my room and loved the location. It was close to the lobby and in a quiet wooded area. Room number.
IMG_2025-05-31-102648.jpg
I dropped off my luggage and took some pictures before going back to the lobby for some bottled water.

I wasn’t hungry so just picked up two bottles of water in the gift shop for now. I headed back to the room and got ready for bed.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was very quiet. I didn’t hear anything and didn’t need my earplugs win win 🏆

I did realize it would make sense economically to do a small grocery order for water. Water was too expensive, even with my AP discount, to be just buying individually.

I used Shipt this time around because I didn’t want a yearly subscription with Instacart. I ordered a 24 pack of water, bananas, Sargento cheese, dried fruit packs, and cold brew to be delivered to CBR the next day.

First day in the books 📚 overall a hassle free travel day!

Stay tuned for my first full day coming up soon. MK in the morning and Epcot in the evening! Will I like my room, when do I get my room, is it close to the Skyliner? All will be answered soon!

I was really excited for this trip. I wanted to take it easy and enjoy the little things!
Hope you did! (And I guess we'll see! ;))
Looking rarin' to go!

Nice little perk. :)
The lounge had a good chicken sandwich, pasta, vegetables 🥗 and desserts.
Sounds pretty good. :)
I noticed I was upgraded to comfort +, it was a middle seat “meh” but I got better snacks and drinks.
Ugh. Middle seat... I think I'd prefer a window or aisle in economy.
I watched 1883 on Paramount+ Elsa is fearless! For those that have watched this series know what I am talking about!
No clue. And I don't have Paramount+. Is it worth it? I already have Prime and Disney+
Love seeing this ugly MCO carpeting! It means my trip is just starting! Yay 😁

 Yes it does!
I have Sky priority and my luggage comes out in the first round. Makes picking up my luggage nice and quick.
Nice. I've seen a priority tag on my bag, but not sure if it's made a difference or not.
I love hot weather, stay tuned for my opinion on this along the way, do I change my mind?
I'm gonna say... yes. Based on your earlier comment.
I found my room and loved the location. It was close to the lobby and in a quiet wooded area.
:thumbsup2
The bed was very comfortable and the room was very quiet. I didn’t hear anything and didn’t need my earplugs win win 🏆
Much better than some rooms you've stayed at. (I'm looking at you, Universal!)
First day in the books 📚 overall a hassle free travel day!
All you can ask for. :)

That was nice to have a smooth travel day. I like the roominess of the Value resort room when the Murphy bed is up. :)
