Where is curb check in at the Orlando airport for SW? I have been reading that if the lines are long inside go to the curb check in outside. Where is this located? Is it on the same level as the inside check in? Do they have a curb check in just for SW or is it all together?

I have only flown a few times. Last time we flew Cont. and checked the bags at the resort.

Thanks for the help!

We've flown SWA many times in and out of MCO. We were told that SWA has no curbside check-in at MCO thus we always end up waiting in huge lines. If there is curbside, I would like to know where it's located too.

Curbside Check-in for SW is right out side the regular check-in. If you are being dropped off at MCO by a car service, they should drop you right outside the SW terminal, terminal 2, according to the MCO website

I have been checking bags curbside at MCO for 3 years now. It is WAY easier than the inside the terminal checking. Well- worth the couple of bucks I spend on tipping the skycaps.

Dme drops you off on the ground floor midway down the terminal.

So what does that mean?:confused3 Is that the same level as Southwest check-in or do you need to go up a level? Is Southwest to the right or left when you get off the bus facing the building?

Southwest is to the left and on the third lever from where you are dropped off, facing the building.

I know this sounds dumb, but then do you just get one of those carts and take your luggage to be checked in?

Thanks. We've never used DME on the return trip.

If you need one. We are a family of 4, my children are 13 and 10 so we probably won't need one. Everyone just takes a piece of luggage. Our carryons are usually backpacks so that leaves our hands free. If one happens to be right there without searching than yes but otherwise no.

I used the curbside last month when the inside line was long. Just go out the doors across from the Southwest counter (level 3). There was no wait. Tipped $3.00 for 1 bag plus printing my boarding pass.

The last time we used the SW curbside checkin the line must have been a half mile long!!! But the line inside was a mile long!!!!

How does this work if you are dropping off a rental car? Do you check your bags and then return the car, or do you return the car and then have to carry your bags back to check in?

I've found the cops will jump on you if you leave the car at the curb while you check the luggage. If you have 2 people you can drop off the luggage with a person. If I'm by myself, I usually carry the luggage over. They do have cart rental in the garage.
