Where is best to buy your AP

i'm going to go for the Dream AP. with the amount of money i seem to spend when i'm there I think the discounts will do me some good!

With the amount we saved I think we 'broke even' on our first trip! :rotfl2:

I've since discovered that we would often have wanted to enter the parks on the days you can't with the Fantasy Pass as well

Am I right in thinking you're staying at the Holiday Inn? If so, you'll be best getting a Dream AP because, apart from the better shopping discount, you'll be able to get EMH with it. :thumbsup2

Hi everyone
Can I ask a few questions on the AP please?
First of all EMH = ? I think it refers to the Extra couple of hours in the park usually only available to Disney hotel residents?
Am I right?

I am thinking we may acquire some type of AP while in Disneyland, as it seems to be good value esp if anticipating return trips.
Did I read somehwhere here that it entitles free parking also?
(Considering car hire and wondering about parking, availability and cost at Disneyland).
Is Dream AP the one that covers both parks?

Thanks in advance.
You guys are a wealth of information!

Yes Extra magic hours is only available to Disney hotel guests and Dream AP holders :)
The AP entitles you to park free at the parks. While the Dream AP allows you to be able to park at any Disney hotel (except for the Disneyland Hotel).

If you are interested in an AP have a look at the sponsor thread. You will not be approached by anyone unless you post a request there :goodvibes :thumbsup2

BTW link for sponsor thread along with lots of info is in The Very Useful Info sticky :)

Cyrano thank you very much for that information.
Ok I'm a bit tired etc but I can't work out if it is a good buy or not for us.
We are a family of four, two adults, two kids, eldest will be 5 by the time we travel and youngest is 2.
Staying 4nights in Disneyland, but I think we will only make that 3days in the parks, as I think kids will be too wrecked by time we arrive and the morning of our departure I suspect we won't have time to do anything except get to airport. (maybe if we get up early we'll have a few hours to play with?)

Is the Dream AP your ticket to enter both parks?
I am confused as it says in the comparsions list that Dream AP1 Day Park Hopper Passports 20% off

1 Day Single Park Passports 20% off

Do you have to buy tickets to get into parks if you have a Dream AP?

I am so confused. I think I need to get to bed.
Thanks again for info Cyrano.

Presuming you haven't already got tickets included in a package (which hotel are you staying at?) you may break even on getting APs, particularly if you are going before November because you can get the children's APs free if you buy 2 adult ones. You don't need to buy park tickets if you have an AP, I presume that refers to buying them for someone else. All 3 types of AP allow you to enter both parks, but the most expensive, the Dream, allows you access every day while the others have some blocked dates. The Dream also allows you EMH (from 8am instead of 10am) so is particularly useful if you are not staying at a Disney hotel.
