I made PS's for Ariel's Grotto next week specifically so my 3 year old DD will be able to see Ariel. She's been so excited we're going to Ariel's restaurant and has been telling EVERYONE!

I saw in another thread that Ariel is no longer there! Can someone tell me if this is true? And if so, where can we see her?

Thanks for your help.

They have changed he restaurant to Captain Mickey's. You can see Ariel at the Dl park to the right side of the castle they usually have a photo op area certain times of the day. Just check the schedule when you arrive.

Thanks! I was wondering if maybe she shows up at the Prince and Princess's breakfast? She's about the only one we didn't see last year at WDW and the cruise and she's so much more into the princesses this year. Maybe I'll try to get a PS for next Saturday for the princess breakfast (wishful thinking at this late date?).

Ariel's Grotto is Captain Mickey's but the restaurant is still called Ariel's Grotto at CA. Ariel is not there. Don't be disappointed though, it was the best character meal that we went to! Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Max, Chip and Dale were there. You can sit outside on the water or inside. The scenery was really neat with all the rides around.

When you are walking towards the castle on Main Street in DL, Ariel's Grotto is on your right, on the other side of Tomorrowland. She's right next to the Matterhorn.

I've never seen a standing Ariel. In her grotto she sits in a Clam shell and isn't able to stand because of her fins :) Even in the parade she isn't standing.

It won't be hard to see her though, she has her own place and is out most all day, until 6pm. If she leaves while you're in line, she'll be right back, she just has to take a quick swim (switches with someone else). She doesn't even walk then though, where she sits it turns her into the CM area.

You won't see her at the Princess Breakfast, but she does appear regularly at the little grotto as described above by M2M2D.

It's within sight of the wishing well where Snow White appears. We simply asked a CM for a time, he consulted a list he had, and we then began queuing just a few minutes before here scheduled appearnce.

(She sits on a clam shell which swivels around when it is time for her to appear).

Ariel always seems so tucked away and hidden when you go looking for her in her little Grotto, it's right near Triton's Gardens where the fountains of King Triton and Ariel are. It's a cute little area. Ariel is so awesome! I got my picture taken with her, and we actually bought the Disneyland photo of it, it came out so cute. She sits there in her little shell, under the misters, combing her hair with a fork. The talking trash can from Tomorrowland came to visit her shortly after our visit, that was cool to see how she interacted with him. The best time, in my opinion to go see Ariel is 1 hour before the parade, you can expect to spend around 15-20 minutes on a not very crowded day to see her, because she really takes her time with each visitor, talks to them, gives them an autograph, photos, lets the kids comb their hair with her forks, etc. After you visit Ariel and the fountains, go down a ways and have a sit on the bench and wait for the parade, you have front row seats for the parade and it is wonderful, if you don't mind being in the sun, for the best seats in town. If you don't want to be in the sun, go earlier, go across from the benches, and sit in the shade along the wall.
