Where is a POST OFFICE on or near Disney World to send packages to a friend. On site hotel said they could not send a package nor the cruise line. :umbrella: A friend from another state is buying me items and does not want to take the items back in the luggage than send them back to me.

I've mailed packages (large boxes) home from both the Polynesian and Wilderness Lodge before. Honestly, they didn't even charge me from the Polynesian, at the Wilderness Lodge, I just left my credit card number and they charged it when they sent the package.
I might suggest checking back in with the hotel, hoping policies haven't changed! That was always a convenient perk!

Your friend can have things sent right from the stores in WDW where she is purchasing them - it's not free, but they definitely do it.

I sent a box home from BLT in November, they definitely do it. I had already pre-paid for a label at the UPS store before we went on vacation, then on my last day packed up my box and sent it home.

If that is not an option, I searched on the post office website and put in the address for SSR (thought there might be one near DTD) and there is one 1.2 miles away.

The closest one I can think of is on Sand Lake Road, It's kind of by Seaword. If you go out the gates by DTD and take a left at the light with the crossroads and take a right at the next light (Palm Parkway). Keep driving down that road I'd say like 4 miles (an estimate) and it will be on your left.

Shipping Things Home from Resorts:

1) Go to Gift Shop and ask for old boxes.
2) Also ask for packing.
3) Go to room and pack box(es).
4) Take box(es) to Concierge Desk.
5) Complete the shipping paperwork.
6) Select either FEDEX or UPS as the shipping agent
7) Concierge will seal and send.
8) There is no additional markup to the freight cost.
9) Sending items from stores now have a large profit markup.

NOTE: If you declare more the $100 value for UPS, you need to itemize.

There is also a UPS kiosk next to the Boardwalk Inn in the Boardwalk Conference Center. We had to ship a basket home on our last trip and went there. They boxed it up and shipped it for us.

There is a full-service Post Office in downtown Celebration.

However, you can take a packed box, or unpacked stuff, to the Business Center at any of the Convention Centers on property (CR, GF, Y&B, Coronado, Swolphin) and they will handle the shipping for you, with your choice of method. And if you want, they will do the packaging for you (at a fee, of course).

I think I'm thinking of the same one as you. I have no clue what the street names are, but you turn left out of the gates by dtd, then right at the lights by Olive Garden. There's a post office in the strip mall by CiCi's on the right side of the road a little ways down (I doubt its more than a mile, but I always took the bus there, so idk, maybe it was longer)
