can one find a good cup of coffee?

Hi everyone,
I am taking my tennis friends to WDW December 4-8th for a quick Christmas get-a-way. We are staying at the Beach Club. We will be Segwaying, Candlelight Processionaling, and EATING our way around the world!!!!
I have one friend that cannot feel the "magic" until she has her coffee in the morning. I don't drink coffee and she was stunned ( being the Disney fan that I am ) that I have no idea where to get a GOOD cup of coffee.
Can anyone help this "nonfunctioning person until she gets her coffee" ?
I really need your help.
Restaurants, Kiosks, counter....anything!!!
Thanks so much,
Susan

Second hand info but someone mentioned that you can order African coffee at Boma for like $5. Said it was delicious, I'm sure someone else can confirm this.

You can get a pressed pot of 100% Kona coffee at the Kona Cafe in the Poly.

Considering you are staying at the Beach Club, I would say your best bet would be to walk over to the Boardwalk Bakery, which is right past the ESPN Club or over the little breakfast cafe right in the Yacht Club (can't think of the name of it).

Both of these places serve coffee & ala carte breakfast items.

BTW - I'm not a coffee drinker myself so I don't know how good it is, but my DH drinks it & says it's good - for what that's worth! ;)

we weren't terribly impressed with the Kenya Press post( thinking it was $8) at Boma the Kona cafe regular coffe is a kona mix and a step up from most of the not so great coffee at wdw...i know the french bakery has expresso but dont'remember what their regualr coffee is like

I didn't realize how hard it was to get a good cup of coffee.

I was thinking about the fountain View restaurant in Epcot? Is this a good place for coffee?

Susan

The fountain veiw is a good place to get a decent cup of coffee in Epcot - but it was shut last Sept when we were there. I dont know if it is open seasonally or was closed for refurbishing (and if so what that has done to the coffee :confused3 ).

Hi,

Lobby Court Lounge in the Swan has very good coffee, and other places in the Swan/Dolphin offer Starbucks. And after coffee, you can always get a boat from their dock over to EPCOT. Have fun!!

Since you're staying at the Yacht Club, jog yourself over to the Dolphin resort which is right next door to the Yacht Club. Go to Tubbie's Buffeteria, where they serve Starbucks coffee.

The press pot (sit down meal only I believe) is 100% Kona, not a blend. The cups of coffee at the stand are a Kona blend, still VERY good.

No. They have a sign up that they "proudly" serve Nescafe!

If she is as serious a coffee drinker as I am, pack your own and have a pot brewing in your room in the am......

Good coffee was one of the reasons I did GVC at the Poly in December. The AKL and the Poly (Kona Cafe, the little coffee stand outside and the conceirge lounge) are the only decent cups of coffee in all of DW. :earsboy:

And don't forget to use bottled water to make the coffee. I firmly believe that the horrible water is what makes the coffee taste so bad in the first place.

I agree with others who recommended getting Starbucks at Tubbi's. I stayed at the Swan and got my morning coffee there each day. It's just a short stroll from the Beach Club.

I couldn't finish the coffee at Fountainview Cafe - yuck! Unfortunately, that's true of most places in the World. The only good coffee I've had there is at Tubbi's and at Kona Cafe. Haven't tried the coffee at Boma, but others seem to like it.

I got a good cup of coffee at La Patiserie Boulangerie (sp?) CS in France at Epcot. I remember commenting to my Mom that it was GOOD coffee and then I immediately spilled most of it  It was good though.

I would tell her to take her own coffee and brew a pot in the morning in the room. This way she will be ready to go  when she leaves the room. I like Starbucks but the coffee at the Dolphin did not taste like Starbucks to me. I was not impressed with the Dolphin coffee. Maybe it is the water. I always use filtered water at home to brew my coffee. :)
