Excitement at AAA today.
My coworker got a phone call at 5:15 from her son that her daughter had not gotten home yetShe normally is home at 4:30, so there was cause for concern. Lise called the school's number and got through to the transportation office, where she said the woman answers the phone with "Wake County Missing Children"
Luckily, at that same time her son called back to say that her daughter had just arrived. It turns out that they combined two bus routes today and that caused the delay. It does make us wonder why if our county can send instant texts about weather delays, they can't bother to send something when things like this happen. Oh well, all's well that ends well, though I think Lise's heartbeat is still double what it should normally be
THAT POOR LADY!
... and you are so right...WHAT IS THE SCHOOL THINKING???
I/DD would be on the phone tomorrow morning and pity the poor person that answered that phone! Been through "that feeling" many times though; first DD's NOW DGD's. I can now laugh but remember like yesterday Little Bit's "trick" on me. Playing in the front yard~check on her every 5-10 minutes~after a few checks she's no where to be seen~call her...and call her and call her~check the backyard, check the bathrooms, check her room...all while calling her name. Take a deep breath and go back to front yard~I hear giggling~can't figure out where it's coming from~more giggling...the little S*%& had CLIMBED the magnolia tree right next to the driveway...HIGH in the tree I finally see her "blended in" with the tree because of her green clothes that day!

I think I "aged" 15 years that day...THEN she got the "lecture of her life"!
JEFF...SEE WHAT YOU HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD TOO!
Hugs to your co-worker...
Oh...Cici went to the vet today for her yearly checkup...she weighs 137 and totally charmed the vet! Lifted her paw and put it in the vets hand to have blood drawn~put her head on his shoulder while he listened to her heart...just a real sweetie!
