I was thinking hat pins or crystals from a shop in Italy?

Not from UK, Mexico, Norway, China or Italy. I'm not exactly what these are, didn't ask, but I have my thoughts. This was sitting next to a cash register with some flags so it could be some pens....just thought the holder was rather unique.

I usually don’t pay too much about out dollar and how it is doing but Just reading some thread on the DIS and all us Canadian are complaining because the rates keep dropping. I just looked at what I still have aweing on our November trip and right I still owe 5,692.80 but with the exchange rate as of right now I really owe $7030.66. that’s an extra of $1,337.86. I so hope the rate gets better. I better keep on eye on the rates so when it get better I can make a payment on the trip at a good rate and now have to pay that extra

YIKES ...not a nice surprise! I would say you SHOULD start paying attention ...same thing I've been "preaching" to DD's and their friends the past few years. There may not be a whole lot you can do about it but sure takes the "surprise element" out of the picture. I'm proud to say the "preaching" has "sunk in" for DD's...they've been staying pretty "informed" the past year or so.

YIKES ...not a nice surprise! I would say you SHOULD start paying attention ...same thing I've been "preaching" to DD's and their friends the past few years. There may not be a whole lot you can do about it but sure takes the "surprise element" out of the picture. I'm proud to say the "preaching" has "sunk in" for DD's...they've been staying pretty "informed" the past year or so.

Hope so too...DD had to change their summer vacation to New York City date and dreaded checking flight prices...she'd gotten a really good deal on original date. BUT...kept at it and finally found a deal for only $30 more per ticket. Now's the time to start....your DW vacation will be here before you know it!

Excitement at AAA today.

My coworker got a phone call at 5:15 from her son that her daughter had not gotten home yet She normally is home at 4:30, so there was cause for concern. Lise called the school's number and got through to the transportation office, where she said the woman answers the phone with "Wake County Missing Children"

Luckily, at that same time her son called back to say that her daughter had just arrived. It turns out that they combined two bus routes today and that caused the delay. It does make us wonder why if our county can send instant texts about weather delays, they can't bother to send something when things like this happen. Oh well, all's well that ends well, though I think Lise's heartbeat is still double what it should normally be
