Yes I have to go to work in the morning. Should be fun, our stupid manager turns the heat off at night in the office. I hope the pipes freeze and burst. On a normal day it takes until noon to warm up. Luckily I do have a heater under my desk that helps keep ne warm but I freeze if I have to get up for something especially to go to the bathroom.Brrrr I feel bad a little for the girls upstairs because they both can't run their heaters in their offices at the same time or they will blow a fuse. Manager is too cheap to have it fixed. I don't think she realizes she wouldn't be the one paying for it. She doesn't pay for the heating fuel either the company does not sure why she is so stingy.

She had bought a small potted Christmas tree for the office that we decorated. It was in the front area and she wanted it to be brought to the back room until spring so it could be planted. Well the tree was so dried out that you touched it and needles would fall everywhere. I told her I would move it on Friday before I left because needles would end up all over the place and the cleaning people could vacuum them up when they came on Friday. Apparently she couldn't wait she dragged it out last night. Needles everywhere. She also watered it after someone else watered it and over watered it. We came in this morning and it was sitting in the middle of the kitchen with a whole roll of paper towels around it soaking wet. So now there are tons of needles all over the office from everyone walking on them and the tree is still sitting in the kitchen with all the paper towels because she didn't clean it up.

It costs more to warm a place up from 30 degrees than it does to just maintain it at 68 And heating with electricity is the most expensive way to go.

I thought you were going to say she made you clean up the mess with the tree. Poor housekeeping. It's a thankless job.

I wish you could get another job!

The schools already announced a 2 hr delay for tomorrow. Temps are -3 right now . Going to get to -10 with wind chills of -32.

WOW...how's that "global warming" working out for y'all? I can't imagine what you and Diane are going through ...we're at 32 now and the fireplace is working overtime. Goopy's "snug as a bug in a rug" with his COWBOYS doggie jacket on and I just turned my electric blanket up a notch! My niece flew into Minneapolis from Dallas this afternoon on business. She called her Mom and all she could say was "it's DA** COLD here"! She and her 2 co-workers were getting room service for dinner instead of going out! STAY WARM AND STAY SAFE!

Would you go back a page or 2 and see if you can solve Denise's crop...I have absolutely no idea!

I was waiting for her to tell me to clean it up. I would have said no. It is freezing in here. Temp in the office is still in the 50's and the heat has been on for over an hour. Boss is such a moron.

...and we're "snuggled in" from our 38 degrees and wind chill around 25! Guess our "blood is thinner" in the south! Wow...that's DANGEROUS cold...I think all activities should be cancelled and you stay indoors!

Our office is always cold too, for the same reason and the fact that we have huge windows everywhere. Corporate sent out an email last year saying no heaters were allowed, which most of us obey (and just bring in blankets) except of course the one employee who thinks rules don't apply to her. She opened the office with our manager, and the rest of us are shocked she hasn't been fired yet. We've even complained about the heater and the fact that the rest of us follow policy (and consequently either freeze or bring in blankets), but our manager says it's allowed because the other employee sits by the door. News flash, there's a desk on the other side of the door too, but that employee doesn't need a heater.

Oh well, at least I have permission to wear a hoodie today, so I'm as snuggly as one can be at work.

Your manager is just as bad as mine. Rules apply to some but not others. That could be considered discrimination. If I were you I'd be wearing a hoodie every day.

Here's something funny. My boss asked me to make a sign to put on the hall door that leads to the back stairway that says "Please keep door closed at all times" because when the cleaning people leave it open it makes the office too cold. Yeah that's what's making the office cold.
