Sara happened to be driving home when she saw them and Amanda has an app on her phone that notified her. It was around 8 PM CST. We drove out to Sara's but they were pretty faint and it was chilly out so we just came back home. Not 10 minutes later, Sara called and said she could see them again! I just walked to the back part of our property where I could see the horizon above the tree tops and the sky was a faint pink so took a picture and there they were! We'd seen before that they show up on pictures before the naked eye can see them! Amanda had to drive from her property (they're surrounded by TALL trees) to an open area about a mile away and she got some really nice pictures!

There's an even better chance tonight of seeing them so maybe you could drive out to a clear area a little earlier!

Just saw some video on Weather Channel of the lights from NH...you need to try to get to an open spot...they were BEAUTIFUL! You had the green with a touch of pink...really pretty!

Pretty pictures. It’s mostly cloudy here. Hopefully it will clear up. I follow a community facebook page and some of the pictures posted were beautiful.

Yep...last night was a bust; was suppose to be stronger than Tuesday night but didn't materialize. I checked until 10:30 and gave up. Amanda was so disappointed but told her she just needs to be satisfied with what we saw the night before!

First playoff game tonight for the Brahmas and, for the first time in 3-4 years they LOST...or did they??? OT, 4th down, broadcast crew got excited...they'd made the 1st down on the 10 yard line! Refs approached the ball and, since it was close, everyone was expecting a measurement...BUT...they picked up the ball and WALKED OFF THE FIELD! Coach was FURIOUS, entire Bellville crowd stunned...NO excuse for not taking a measurement in a PLAYOFF game! If they didn't make it, so be it; they lost fair and square but...what if they DID make the 1st down??? Hope that game isn't an indication of a LONG and disappointing "football weekend"!
