Amanda gave me the Mickey and Minnie for Christmas! I almost forgot about them! Thank goodness I'd stored them with the Minnie Pirate!

Well Ms. Katie has proved her "Gap year" has matured her! Saturday she managed to grab a last minute ticket to see her favorite singer, Billie Eilish, in concert...in CHARLOTTE, NC! She grabs her luggage (with her parents permission), hops in her car and makes the 7 1/2 hour trip...by herself! Finds a hotel that allows 19 year olds to check in and gets a few hours sleep. Sunday morning she's up at 3 AM to get in line for wrist bands, gets #323, back to hotel to get a little more sleep. Monday arrives at venue at 3 PM to wait for entrance. Makes new friends waiting in line, including a mother there with her 3 children, who let her sit in their lawn chair outside their tent! Gates open at 5:30 for "free for all" entrance to front stage area and manages to grab a, literally, FRONT ROW SEAT! BEST CONCERT EVER for our little adventure loving girl!!!

I was STUNNED! A year ago she was "helpless" ... we'd say she "couldn't find her back side with both hands"! Absolutely speechless when Sara called me and said she'd grabbed a FRONT ROW seat! So proud of her! Just hope that maturity sticks when she starts school again in the spring!
