Another BUSY day but, hopefully, the last "crazy" one for a week or so. Funeral service of a high school classmate, foot doctor appointment, picked up new sunglasses from eye doctors office, errands and groceries, picked vegetables in David's garden and watered one section and getting fresh peaches prepared for freezing! Meanwhile, David and Amanda are resting from their first tour in the Hanoi area which included a river adventure in one of those tiny 3 person flat-bottom boat that took them along a tree lined river into CAVES where they could literally touch the ceiling! Seeing those pictures made me REALLY glad I was back here at home instead of with them! They'd have had to leave me behind...NO WAY would I have gotten on that tiny boat in that filthy river!

So I'm assuming this is a Cadillac? I can't even tell you what model MY car sitting in the garage is. I could care less...it starts when I turn it on and gets me where I need to go.

Mandy wishes they'd have allowed 5 days in Toyko instead of only 3 but the purpose of the trip is for David to return to Vietnam after his service there with the U.S. Army from December, 1969-February, 1971. It's been a little nerve wracking for him especially in Hanoi. Yesterday they visited the famous "Hanoi Hilton" where our POW's were kept...and tortured...including former U. S. Senator John McCain. A lot of US Veteran's are returning to close that chapter in their lives....after 50+ years. There was a couple from Texas on their tour Monday for the same purpose. They'll fly to Da Nang tomorrow which is where he was based; their hotel will be on the famous China Beach and end the trip in Saigon. Yes...they ARE "all over the place" from North to South Vietnam! It's been interesting!

It has been quite a while since I have been on here. When I logged in, I started back on the first page of when we turned 21. Wish Photobucket didn't do what they did back then. I can't remember the pictures that I had used back then.

For reference about the back then.... we turned 21 years old 9 years ago. Boy has time flew while we are having fun. Going to try and get back on here more often. Have to get Toni to sign up too.
