Meanwhile...back in "Jolly Ole England" they had just left Wimbledon (a life long dream of Sara's to visit ) and it starts SLEETING!

Path moved a little overnight and now the projected path takes the eye directly over us! Hopefully by the time it gets the 200 miles inland (distance we are from the coast) we'll just get the rain. Showers started about an hour ago...nice, gentle rain so far. Hoping for very little or NO wind; can't bear to loose any more trees! And yes...hoping we don't loose power for THIS reason (a friend posted this on Facebook last night)...



Sara and family flew from London to Zurich, Switzerland this morning...concert in a couple of days. Sat on the runway an HOUR before they were cleared for take off! Crazy London weather was messing all the flights up. Once they got going the flight was a little over an hour. This is the part of the trip Allie was most worried about. They're renting a car and driving through the Alps; Sara DOES NOT handle heights well and some of the roads are pretty "iffy" when it comes to safety rails. Should be an interesting afternoon for them!

Not looking like any change for the good; getting stronger as it approaches the Coast. We're in the area with predicted 6-12 inches of rain and 50-60 mph winds. I thought about you when Allie mentioned she was nervous about Sara! They're in Zurich this evening and I think for at least tomorrow before they start for the next stop...I think it's Geneva but not sure where concert is! THAT will be when the "fun" starts...the drive to the next stop....

Not looking like any change for the good; getting stronger as it approaches the Coast. We're in the area with predicted 6-12 inches of rain and 50-60 mph winds. I thought about you when Allie mentioned she was nervous about Sara! They're in Zurich this evening and I think for at least tomorrow before they start for the next stop...I think it's Geneva but not sure where concert is! THAT will be when the "fun" starts...the drive to the next stop....

My mistake...they are in Geneva tonight, not Zurich...got the cities reversed. Flight out of London was delayed an hour and then they sat on the runway an hour before takeoff! The entire flight from London to Geneva was only 1 1/2 hours so they waited longer to get in the air than the flight took! Then a train ride into the city, checked in their hotel and set out to find a place for dinner. There is a 7 hour time difference between Switzerland and Texas and they're still having a hard time adjusting! Must be really pretty ...even Treavor was taking pictures! We're just waiting here; at least the strong winds won't reach us until tomorrow morning; 70 mph winds predicted around 11 AM! Weird thing about this storm...wind is suppose to INCREASE when it comes on land! Most systems loose "power" when reaching land but this is predicted to intensify!
