Some super excited kiddos (and parents) in our school district today! Announcement came out on football and volleyball playoff schedules. Volleyball is at 7:30 Thursday night in Dallas area and football Friday in Waco area....4 hour road trip Thursday and 2 1/2 hour road trip Friday. SO...they're extending the Thanksgiving break to begin Thursday at Noon! Sara and Katie are HAPPY CAMPERS this afternoon!

Wow...not very long; they've been doing the week break for quite a few years since so many students would be out leaving early for Thanksgiving travel (or Disney World trips ). This year they "built in" a few extra days over the school year in case they had a Covid outbreak. Since a LOT of students (especially in high school) will be out Thursday and Friday for sports they decided to use a couple of those days. Makes life a lot easier for a lot of people! We're having to leave at 4 PM for the football game so the players, band and Dora's are probably leaving between noon and 2 since they'll all be in school buses. I'm already dreading the drive HOME!
