This is from a DS "attraction". :tink:

:headache: Issues with Covid raising it's ugly head again. :headache: My great niece, her husband AND father-in-law have all tested positive. All three have been vaccinated. :confused3 And then Allie and her roommate are stressed trying to decide what to do. As her roommate says..."we have to choose between possible blood clots (with 1 vaccine) and issues with having children (with another)". 😣 These young ladies should not be having to make this decision. 😠 And....we're discovering it doesn't seen to be preventing those "positive test results". 😡 Emily had made her appointment, drove to the pharmacy, sat in the car starring at the door and decided to drive away. They're so confused. 😢 Our county cases are now at 130; a few months ago we were at 3. :tink:

....there's no easy solution. My nieces were all vaccinated and the middle daughter got covid last month, a week before my DS contracted it.....

...don't be too sure. My DH's lease will be up in November for his Ford truck. They are willing to extend the lease because there simply is no inventory....

Yep...that's what DH ran into when shopping for his new truck. Not many to choose from; he's happy with his purchase but didn't want to spend the extra money. It was either that or keep looking and inventory is few and far between. Diane has been waiting for her recliner since JANUARY with still no set date for delivery! :tink:

Absolutely no easy solution. :headache: She also has the "underlying condition" of iron deficiency. J&J shot sees more blood clot issues and iron deficiency can lead to blood clots. :headache: Other shots have the slight possibility of fertility issues later. You're damned if you do and damned if you don't.

We're NOT having a good morning down here in Texas. Youngest DGD received word that another of the dance team members has tested positive on the 13th day after exposure at dance camp. But, far worse, great-niece's husband (who tested positive last Friday) was doing much better yesterday; woke up this morning with a terrific headache and couldn't breathe. They just transported him to the local hospital. 😣 Great niece tested positive yesterday. They've both had the first of 2 shots. Another local citizen received her 1st shot last Tuesday; yesterday she was life flighted to the medical center in Bryan/College Station in pretty bad shape. 😢 :tink:

That is all so sad.

We are having problems too. They have cancelled all non essential surgery again. Which so sucks for so many people!

My understanding is that no one who has had both shots or the J&J dies and the hospitals are full of people who refused to get vaccinated. If we had this hard of a time getting everyone vaccinated historically, we'd still be fighting polio, TB and smallpox. I sign up for every vaccine I can get. Shingles, pneumonia, covid, the flu. But only like 25% of the people in my country are vaccinated. :sad2:

Issues with having children o_O I didn't know that was a side effect, which vaccine is that. I can't blame Emily for driving away, it's scary. Nick's girlfriend is sick and got tested today. They are supposed to leave for Cape Cod this weekend for vacation. A guy Don works with wife went to Foxwoods Casino is now really sick and got tested.

First...all 3 of our personal acquaintances from this weeks cases ARE vaccinated; we think the 4th one has also received the vaccine but not 100% sure. 39% of our county is FULLY vaccinated with an additional 46% that has received at least 1 dose. That puts us at 85% all or partially vaccinated. Our issue with both the girls is #1...they're teenagers and #2....NONE of the vaccines (like the others you mentioned) are FDA approved yet. Why? What's taking so long? Technically, these drugs are still "experimental" which is why you have to sign the waiver promising not to sue the companies if issues develop. That's a huge issue when it comes to our children and makes us think long and hard IF we want to take the chance with their young lives. True, death rate from Covid, IF you've had the vaccine, is low BUT there are issues WITH the shots. When John entered the ER (after encountering a smart mouth ER doctor who told him "well maybe now you'll tell your friends THEY should get vaccinated"!) he gave them his information (he had the J & J shot)(and the ER doctor APOLOGIZED to him with a very red face!) they IMMEDIATELY took him in for a CAT Scan to check for blood clots. That's another HUGE issue...are these shots doing just as much harm as they are good? It's a HARD decision and it's very frustrating that our cases have tripled in the past few weeks. Allie is leaning to getting the J&J...at least she was before John's issues today...but she's certainly not taking the decision lightly. She's done a TON of research and fully understands the pros and cons. :tink:

The vaccines are supposed to keep you from getting really sick and dying but nobody knows for sure it's still too new but you can still get it. The sad part is hospitals are not reporting the ones who are vaccinated that are in the hospital only the non vaccinated ones. :headache: Nurses have that have said there are people in the hospital that have been vaccinated but they aren't reporting it.
