Last night I was invited to join a really cool Facebook group in Austin County..."Adopt a 2020 Senior". It's been so much fun reading about Allie's classmates and learning their future plans. The object is to "adopt" a senior and send them notes of encouragement, small gifts, be a "sounding board" for them, etc. I'm having a hard time not adopting them ALL!

This is our Bellville Senior Allie Barnett. She is a 4 year letterman in soccer winning District Newcomer her freshman year, Offensive Player her sophomore year, and MVP her junior year. She also received all state team honors her sophomore and junior years. She's been academic all district all 4 years. She was also a two year letterman in volleyball and played golf this year. She is a member of NHS and also the Math UIL team for the last 2 years. Earned academic excellence all 4 years, along with a math award, chemistry award, and an English award. She enjoyed refereeing for the Bellville Youth Soccer Association this past fall and loves helping out with the youth at St John Lutheran Church. Allie really enjoyed being a member of the flag crew this past football season. She plans to continue her soccer career at Howard Payne University this fall while getting a degree in Mathematics. She will then pursue a master's in meteorology and hopes to one day work for NASA.

This DOES remind me of the Polynesian bed coverings but it's not there. It's not ceramic but could be fabric (I didn't get close enough to "inspect). It's from a deluxe resort.

Totally agree! It includes students from all 3 county high schools as well as the private schools. Like I said...I want to adopt them ALL!
