Where In The World 21. We are now completely legal!!!

James is on spring break now which is good but is going to daycare full time now. There is talk about extending spring break but we are just waiting on hearing on what is happening,

Right now day care is open but again that may change soon too so we will have to see, we might have to shift work to take care of the kids, some days Emily will work and others I will have to go to work

And lobby it is for the win!! :yay:

Love this resort! But, next time I go to DW, it will be on my DVC points! Every 3 years I can do a little DVC.

Our governor has closed all bars and restaurants! I know it's mostly for the west side of the state but I thought it was risky of the local theater having their matinee yesterday. And since they had it, and I had my ticket, I went. 6 hours later, the governor made it illegal to have groups of 50 or more. It was 250 and the theater holds about 200. Which is more than 50. Everything has been cancelled except the parents of my home school string program are trying to talk the HS into letting us meet in there! I'm like are you crazy! STAY HOME! Leave me out of this! I'm over 60! He will let me know today if the school will let us in the school. I hope NOT! I may be being overly cautious but better safe than sorry!

I would like to try Riverside one of these days but have no desire to stay at French Quarter unless it's the only spot with availability. Not a huge fan of the decor with all those creepy masks and alligators! 🤨 This guy looks like a fun "greeter" though!

The CDC issued that suggestion last night; no gatherings over 50 for the next 8 weeks. Which leads me to believe school will have to be finished online this year and my heart is breaking for Allie and her fellow seniors. 😭 Our only "saving grace" might be the fact that, like you, we're in a small rural area and HOPEFULLY will not experience many cases. Pretty sure there will be some...probably half of our area population spent Spring Break week out of town. Disney World, New York City, cruises, Disneyland, Las Vegas, college visits...a lot of traveling over the past week. We tried to stay away from crowds...even in Vegas. It was pouring down rain Thursday evening so we were very limited as to where we could go without getting soaked. We went to dinner, checked out the flower display at the Bellagio (which was NOT crowded at all)...

...and went back to the Tropicana. David spent some time in the casino but said he had a whole area to himself. That theater sounds SUPER crowded 😱...not so sure about that! If the home school group is allowed in the school just keep your distance of 6' and wash your hands, :tink:

A LOT of people are having to do that here in the States! My niece is a teacher and is "holding school" in her home with her 2 boys and the children of a friend so those parents can work. A lot of parents are working from home too; I'm guessing at some point the daycare facility's will have to close too since they're so much like the schools. I'm afraid it's going to be a stressful 6-8 weeks for everyone. :tink:

Yes, ::yes:: This happy guy was at PO French Quarter. Can you tell me where?

We had snow yesterday but not much and today was nice.

That sucks that your schools are closed and you still have to go in?! Do the teachers have to go in?? The counselor who went to Ireland  have to come in??!

I went to our local theater's musical today. I was a little surprised they didn't cancel it. And it was pretty full! But I was on an aisle and had several empty seats on the other side. Even though it doesn't seem like a big deal up here, I think we should take it seriously. Better safe than sorry. Plus, as an antisocial introvert, I've been preparing for this my whole like! I'm thrilled to be able to cancel everything and stay home!!!! :yay:

Well today was so boring at work. There was only me, Laura, Brad and Matt. The building was open for kids to come get anything they needed from their lockers. So that was my excitement for the day. There was absolutely nothing to do so I made copies of all the office papers/documents and Laura cleaned the office. Brad bought us pizza for lunch. Tomorrow the building is closed so not sure exactly what we're going to do. :bored:

Our governor did the same thing. Ordered all restaurants and bars to close. I guess those who offer take out or delivery can open for that only. So the grocery stores have no food and now the restaurants are closed.

I wonder if they are still working on the construction or is that is on a hold as well

That's a good question; haven't seen anything on that...rather, haven't taken time to read the articles. There was something on Facebook yesterday but didn't stop to read it. :tink:

You still have to go in if the building is closed?

How boring for you! At least today you had kids coming and going! Hope after a couple of days they just lock the doors and let y'all stay home. David said the grocery stores here are worse than they were over the weekend! I'm going to give it a shot tomorrow morning and see what happens. A lot of restaurants ARE offering takeout only so hopefully that continues. Those employees NEED to work! We've already decided if our local restaurants do that we'll order take out every couple of days to support them. :tink:
