Well..."Pixie Dust

" is "alive and well" at the Magic Kingdom.

My sister and her family had a ROUGH start to their trip when they arrived at the CR to discover their Dining Plan was ALL messed up.

The new changes for 2018 (the addition of the alcoholic beverages to the plan) was not included since it went into effect today so they had to change all the MB's to reflect that change. In the process, their room reservations SOMEHOW got messed up and, bottom line, it took 4 hours for my nephew (who booked the trip) to get it all straightened out. In the meantime, 5 of the "party of 9" had reservations at T-Rex so they were given a temporary MB so they could make their reservations this afternoon. Arrived at T-Rex, ordered and were ready to leave when the server brought them a BILL for $200.00+

. They explained the situation and upon further investigation they were told they had it straightened out BUT...THEY WERE COMPING THE MEAL as apology for the inconvenience.

#1.

Since it was so late in the day and there were so many problems with the DP, they decided to return to the CR calling it a day, to discover
2 of the 4 reserved rooms had been UPGRADED to MK VIEW

(those were the only 2 available or they'd have upgraded ALL 4 ROOMS

!) So my sister and nephew/wife and 2 kids got to watch the fireworks from their rooms!

#2. Other nephew, niece and their spouses had evening reservations at Narcoossee's; were seated, ordered and when ready to leave were GIVEN THE MEAL BILL OF $400+

. They had told the server they were on the Dining Plan but the correction that was SUPPOSE to have been made 4 hours earlier DIDN'T SHOW THEM ON THE DINING PLAN.

They asked to see the manager, explained the situation, he checked and discovered they WERE on the DP, returned to the table and COMPED THEIR MEAL

.

STRESSFUL beginning of their trip and HOPEFULLY everything is now straight (along with

#4 ... extra fastpasses for tomorrow

and DP worked for snacks this evening)...they're "anxious" and nervous to see if all is well but as of now the Pixie Dust has netted them $600.00 worth of "free food"

. BUT...as the great-nephews watched the fireworks from their balcony (wrapped in blankets

) with "stars in their eyes", the 4 year looked at his Dad and said, "It's like MAGIC in the sky"!

Made the whole day worth it!
