What a L-O-N-G day ; HOPEFULLY one more "hurdle"...be it a major one though...and life can get back to normal.

No Ma'am, I did not say this was on a building; it's "a building" but not a restroom. Don't know if it has a name or purpose, I suppose it does or it wouldn't be where/what it is. It's not from a kiosk or one of the walking trails.

BEAUTIFUL day for the Austin County Fair Parade ....

Neighborhood friends...DD's Pre-school float (they put all the little kiddos in a "chicken coop" ...precious...they were "hatching eggs"...and CONTAINED on the ride during the parade ):

...and my favorites...the Princess marching with the dance group (a little FLIRTING before the parade with a BOY )

...and the volleyball team . No school today (JEFF...that 5 DAY WEEKEND began yesterday) but they were bused back to the gym after the parade for pizzas and 3 HOUR afternoon practice:

Yes Ma'am, this is from Discovery Island. It's closer to the Tree of Life than the entrance but nothing to do with ToL.

We raised her right Jeff and remember...she's #3 in her class taking all those advanced courses ...including advanced English. In this case, I'm pretty sure the actual "letter" was a requirement in athletics. Her coach is like me...old school...and she knows the way to a grandparents heart! AND...she DOES love us BUNCHES! Her mother just scheduled their first "campus visit" . A college in Indiana has expressed interest in her attending and it's the #8th ranked school in the country in her current major...meteorology. Then she'll be able to give you fair warning when one of those HAIL STORMS are coming. It's a good thing those weren't golf ball size...you'd be car shopping today if that would have happened. Her visit will be the first weekend in December; she may decide that COLD weather north of here isn't for her!
