Thanks Diane...was NOT a surprise...after all, they ARE the defending State Champions. Just disappointed that the refs felt intimidated by them and their crowd ...WE WEREN'T . "Our boys" got in their "fair licks" and I guarantee they'll be a few of their players in the training room tomorrow. The final outcome would have been the same but the score would have been closer had we gotten a few breaks. Always sad to see the football season end but, as I just told our newspaper editor on Facebook...now it's SOCCER time!

Since Jeff has "gone to bed early" he's MISSED OUT on another win! Ed "one-upped" him with the Emporium and Diane named the scene!

The football game was played last night in one of the nicest stadiums we've been in in a long time in New Caney...

...it was HUGE but serves 3 different school districts. Stadium style seats from the 40-40 yard line, full service concession stands, hanging baskets and potted plants in the area under the stadium and HUGE jumbo screen for replays and candid pictures from the stands ... only 1/4 of it in this picture of the Texas flag at sunset...

I think I'll make a collage of Grady...Coach Rowe...and him arguing with the refs this year. His "boys" love him for it (as we do)...nice to see him standing up for his team...

...and Black Friday shoppers on the way to the game. The Houston Premium Outlet Mall had a FULL parking lot with overflow in an adjoining churches parking lot! Economy IS good in Houston, Texas!

It was pretty special and it's one of the smaller "nice" stadiums! There was a game in the northwest part of the state last night that had 20,000 people crammed into a 17,000 seat stadium! Can you tell we're "big" on high school football here? Some amazing stadiums, especially in the Dallas area. It's pretty special for the teams from the smaller schools, like ours, to be playing in those stadiums too!

Diane...I hope your decorating has gone better than mine this afternoon/evening! First of all my big baby Minnie's fan didn't work. So we took the replacement fan used on Mickey last year and changed it out for Minnie. Now I don't have a fan for Mickey. Then I plugged in Eeyore...his fan didn't work ; Tigger's fan is in "slow motion" and Tigger looks like he's been on an "all night drunk"...he can't even sit up right! I think I'll just hang the ornaments in the tree the rest of the evening! Oh the "joys" of decorating for Christmas.....
