At 7:30 this evening our southern most city in Texas had a 76 degree temperature; our northern most city had a temperature of 2 degrees! The artic air has reached Texas! We had a pretty good thunderstorm around 6 and the cool air started filtering in around 7:15; it's dropped 10 degrees in 30 minutes and wind is gusting around 20 mph. Have an appointment for a massage at noon Wednesday and then will be "hibernating" until next appointment with back doctor on Thursday at 2:15. At least the rain is moving out so no chance of ice or snow. Predicted highs next week...76

Quick service? ABC Commissary? That’s quite a temp difference. It’s pretty cold here and really windy. It’s 8 degrees right now but the wind chill is negative numbers.

...and it's even colder than first predicted for us. ORIGINALLY we were suppose to have sunshine and a high of 35 today...low last night of 31. At 6 this morning it was 26 and as of now (4 pm) has not been above 29 with STRONG north wind. Wind chill is at 14. I had a massage at noon (which now was useless ) and had to come home and get my azaleas covered and protected from cold/wind. It was already "borderline" with original predicted temperatures...they're cold hardy to around 25) but with this colder day the low tonight will most likely be in the upper teens. THAT was "fun" ...fighting that wind while trying to get blankets over the BIG bushes and anchor them...plus my "old hands" that can no longer stand the cold longer than 5 minutes! By the time I finished I really struggled getting back into the house ; couldn't get my hands to work to push the latch down to open front door! Thought I was going to have to go next door to neighbors and warm my hands up so I could get the door open! But that's nothing compared to what you're dealing with! DANG...negative wind chill numbers ; sure hope you don't have to be out much today!

Back doctor didn't tell me what I wanted to hear. Sending me for an injection first; if that doesn't work I'll be looking at surgery. Sure am having a dilemma! I booked a solo trip for the Flower and Garden Festival March 25-30; now I'm unsure. Should I try to schedule appointments around those dates or just cancel and get this taken care of.
