Meanwhile......Bryan was climbing steps ! Amanda tried but got about 1/4 way up and gave up! In her words..."I swear the Mayans were tiny people with small *** feet! Every step you have to turn your foot sideways and everything is so steep! I think they all died because they kept FALLING OFF STUFF!"

Fun gathering this evening! I'd forgotten that Katie now gets to wear a RED hat....and I LOVE those hats! She started out "Katie style" knocking the candle out of the Asst. Directors hand as she was handing it to her. The Director "apologized" and announced we'd just have to "enjoy the beautiful Katie Beth while they repaired"! The girls looked so pretty in their hot pink and bonus...we got a family picture before Allie leaves us for HPU and soccer conditioning!

...and the family picture wasn't even my idea! One of our friends "directed" it and worked great...I'd wanted a picture of Allie and Katie before Allie left and that was proving to be "difficult". I'd totally forgotten about the red hats...I just thought their bands were different and the Captain wore the red hat but hers is silver. Nice surprise. Two weeks and the "travel time" starts with road trip for football on Friday and Allie has a preseason game in Kerrville (3 hour trip) on Saturday. Bonus with that...my cousin and his wife just moved to Kerrville a few months ago so we can have a short visit. I laughed last night when another friend posted this on Facebook...

SO TRUE..."On the Road Again" for the next 2-3 months. And I'm TOTALLY with you on the climbing! Not just "no" but "HELL NO"!
