Allie is now officially released to play soccer! Her doctor told her to "get out of my office and I'd better not see you again"! She left with a knee brace ($915 brace); the same kind the NBA players wear after they've had ACL surgery! I think she's ready for soccer season to start!

Great news for Allie.

YES...she was happy. She isn't required to wear the brace but likes the extra security...at least for this year. She still has some issues with scar tissue that's painful when she moves her leg a certain way. It's in the area they removed the ligament for "transplant" to the ACL. Intense massage is about the only way to break that scar tissue up but that takes a lot of time. She's working on it but when she experiences that "stab" of pain it makes her more than a little nervous. The brace will help alleviate that during practice and games. Next "hurdle" will be passing the required physical test; she has to at least meet her times from last year before Coach allows them to practice. She needs to improve a little on the sprint time but by mid-August she should have the time needed. I thought she had to go back next week but it's August 13th when she's moving back into her townhouse. SO...we have her here for a couple more weeks.
