Where In The World 21. We are now completely legal!!!

Sorry you have to go back :sad2: And every day! What happens in 2 weeks? What grades is your school?

I work in a middle school grades 6, 7 and 8 about 500 kids. Two weeks left of working and I'm off for the summer. I work when school is in session and then 5 days before and 5 days after. School was out June 2 so my last day was supposed to be June 9 but they changed their minds and said well school was supposed to get out June 16 so you have to work until then plus 5 more days. All my end of year stuff is already done so I have absolutely NOTHING to do. We've been going in every other day in order to social distance but they decided to all of a sudden stop paying us for they days we didn't go in and didn't bother to tell anyone. 🤬

Is that were the aviary is?

:flower: It sure is! We took our time walking through this are since it was just David and I and saw some really pretty birds. This was one of my favorites! He was SO shiny!

Maybe by the time those 2 weeks are up the beaches will be open and you can finally have a "summer vacation"! Our school district is "officially on summer break" but only the students! :rotfl2: Administrators, office staff and teachers have been in meetings trying to work things out for the fall. Yesterday they gathered with representatives from 2 other schools in our district to get some of their ideas. Sara's been working a little just about every day this past week. Hopefully your school will be doing something similar; it would be REALLY boring for you to just "hang out twiddling your thumbs"! :rotfl: No one is sure how they'll handle the requirements in the fall; they're impossible to follow! :tink:

They have NO idea what they are going to do. The principal was on a zoom call (with his door open so I could hear everything) :headache:with the other principals in the district and they were discussing different scenarios of what they could do they had scenario A,B,C,D couldn't seem to get any of them to work especially with the buses and the requirements for them. Maybe next week I'll have a "fever" and they'll send me home. :rotfl:

Well you can still look forward to being off for the summer. :sunny: And wouldn't you rather work for 10 days and get paid for 10 days than to only get paid half of that? Do you have sick leave if you get fever? Personally I think I'd rather get paid to sit and do nothing than to have a job where I actually had to work. :goodvibes Bring a book or your tablet?

I can't imagine what the schools are going to do to keep up social distancing. The busses alone would be a nightmare. I'm so glad I'm old and don't have to worry about trying to raise kids through all this.

I actually ate in a restaurant yesterday! First time since I was in Disneyland in Feb. It was so delicious! They were seating every other table and the staff had masks on. I'd say only about a third of the people I saw in town were wearing masks. We are still holding at 6 cases. One death up here.

That first time back in a restaurant is special! :goodvibes We had a whole section to ourselves a few weeks ago but David and his brother ate at the same restaurant yesterday and "every other table" was filled with a line out the door. Our cases in Texas are on an increase since there's more testing and pretty sure we'll see more of an increase after the Memorial Day weekend and all these "protests". Stupid people are NOT "social distancing" so it can't help but happen. I get SO angry when I see those crowds :headache:; if everyone would just use common sense we could "lick" this thing...or keep it "in check" until a vaccine is available. I think the last figure I saw for our county was 30 with no deaths or hospitalizations. :tink:
