Sara reports say Disney Springs is packed! I understand both sides; it's a difficult decision and a difficult situation which ever way you look at it! I honestly thought they'd have more of a "soft" opening. I realize the July opening will not be "normal" but I thought they'd start with Florida AP holders maybe for like the 2nd week in June; they add all AP holders for another week or 2 and then go to "general public". It's a lot to "take in" and more and more I'm leaning to what Katie's doctor said..."everyone just needs to get back to normal and get this Covid thing out of the way...get it and be done BEFORE the fall flu gets started too!"

yes been watching a few live feeds from social media and the lines up huge especially for the World of Disney

WOW...haven't had a chance to check any sites today...that's unbelievable! 3 HOURS...and parking lot at capacity at 10:30! And that would almost have to be local residents, wouldn't it? I wouldn't think the "tourist" would be in the Orlando area just yet ... or maybe they are! That's awesome!

Didn't have time to check sites today because we had Allie's family graduation celebration tonight! For awhile there, I wasn't sure we'd be able to "pull it off"! Allie and her friend Amanda were here about 1:30 to go swimming. They got out of the pool to watch the space launch...and when it was postponed decided to go to the high school to pick up a few more things and say their goodbyes to some of their teachers. About 3:30 Sara called to tell me to "keep Allie right where she is...we're in the middle of a storm here at home and it's been a long time since I've seen winds this strong!" Katie told her it looked like they were "going through a car wash" the rain was so hard and from all directions. David sent me a text from work...they were in the "safe room" under a tornado warning! 🌪 It' got here about 4 PM and while it thankfully didn't last long, we had heavy rain and wind too.

Total of 45 minutes and the sun was shining again...and we "carried on". Took our family graduation pictures...

...and sat down to dinner. They must have all worked hard today ; they ate almost all of a 16 pound turkey (I have a leg, wing and about 6 pieces of white meat left!) stuffing (Treavor said it was the best I've ever made ); out of an 8 pound bag of potatoes that I mashed, there's about a cup left over ; squash casserole is half gone; blackeye peas and cream peas are ALL gone and there's 1 ear of corn on the cob left! They finished it off with each having a piece of chocolate cake...and the kids had chocolate chip cookies too! At least I don't have a lot of leftovers to put away! Allie loved Miss Minnie...but, of course, the biggest smile was the "money envelope"!

Picked up another scholarship check when she was at school as well as this medallion...

The "48 hour countdown" begins....

Diane...did you ever get the Economic Impact payment? All 3 of us finally got ours; we always do our income tax stuff by direct deposit so I was expecting a bank deposit but it came in the form of a "credit card"...as did Sara & Treavor's. Amanda and Bryan got theirs by direct deposit. SO...if you haven't gotten anything, look for a credit card in the mail. Check EVERY envelope...Sara was holding her envelope over the trash can at the post office to toss away ... the envelope looks JUST like the "fake cards" you get in the mail to "pay off your credit card debt" when she thought she better look at it closer. I thought the same thing about ours but always open all envelopes before I put them in recycling. Actually...ours had been sitting on the cabinet since last Saturday with the junk mail to be looked over!!!

Yes we got ours. Used about half of it to buy tires for the SUV. Nick got his but I don't think Steph will get one because she is a full time student and not eligible. We're still waiting for her income tax return check. All offices are still closed.
