Hair cut done and donation for this weekends Souper Bowl of Caring collection replenished following a trip to local grocery store. Redstorm is a member of the National Honor Society and as one of their service projects, they pledged to contribute 1000 cans of vegetables/fruit to our local Food Pantry for this weekends Souper Bowl drive. They collected 3,000 cans in 24 hours so they upped their goal to 5,000. She cleaned out my donation for the Boy Scouts yesterday so had to replace that today. So proud of those high school kids...what a worthy goal for them to meet!

Nothing good ever comes from a midnight phone call ... DD's grooming shop was burglarized around 11:30 this evening. She's really good about taking her deposits to the bank after closing BUT has been having issues with bone spurs and got shots in both feet yesterday. Being on her feet all day, she just wanted to go home! SO...$1,500.00 in cash and checks stolen; thank the Lord they didn't take her computer or any of her equipment. Four of the 7 shops in the little strip center had their front doors broken...hers was the last one before the police arrived. Must have heard the sirens and taken off. Two young punks wearing hoods were caught on video and police took the footage back to the station for further examination. Glass to be replaced first thing in the morning so owner of the center is sitting in the parking lot the rest of the night...with his shotgun...guarding the shops. She finally made it back home at 1:30 to try and get some rest.

ya our winter this year has been pretty mild. only snow is on the mountains and there is not a lot up there.

I have heard the rest of the country and down south are freezing

Same here. I have had a very mild winter! I think it's the warmest with the least amount of snow I can remember! I hope I have enough snow so I don't run out of water in the summer.
