Where In The World #20

Attraction or food service? Old or new Fantasyland?

Lucky you going on a Disney cruise! You and your DH? Is your son going too? How old is your son? Where is the cruise going? How long?

Last year we took our son (now 18 1/2) on our first Disney cruise for his HS graduation and fell in love with it! This year it is just DH and I to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We are on the Dream for a 4 night to the Bahamas. Same as last year, but for us it's not so much the destination as it is just being on the ship. Castaway Cay, Disney's private island is amazing. I already picked out our dates for next year, if you book on board you save 10% plus get $100 on board credit. Our friends don't quite understand why two adults would go without kids, but the adult areas on the ship are so nice and they are never crowded. Most that cruise are families and spend time in the family areas. Disney is really good about keeping the kids entertained, so you don's see them running around with nothing to do. We love Disney, so for us, it is perfect.

This is from a mural but it's not from an attraction or a resort.

Have you heard from Karolyn?

Edit to update. Getting ready to strap David to the roof of their car to head home. Just like the National Lampoon movie. :lmao: Karolyn will be on later this evening.

I've seen a trip report on here from two adults who love Disney cruises. Beautiful ship! Tons of food!! Castaway Cay looks nice. Not many kids in their pictures. Except maybe lining up for the photo ops with the characters. They seem to love it and have been on other Disney cruises.

He handled the ride home well...little wind drag with him on the top but made it home...and I didn't even scare him once with my "driving in Houston traffic"! :yay: I looked around his hospital room as we waited for discharge papers and prayed..."Lord, let this be the LAST hospital room I see for awhile"! Surgery was suppose to take 1 1/2 hours but was exactly 3 hours later when I got the page from Dr. Lionberger. He said David made him "earn his fee" ... lots to "clean up" in his knee before they could even begin installing the new one. He even emailed the photographs taken during surgery so DH, (in his words) with his mechanically mind, could study them and figure out what was making it work. :rotfl: That man knows DH well. He's swollen, bruised, in a little pain (and then he remembered he was due a pain pill 3 hours ago:goodvibes), tired, upset tummy from one of the medications but walking well (more than he SHOULD :headache:) and SO glad to be home. As I am...he had that d*#% room at 58 degrees last night! I thought I was living the FROZEN movie. :cold: Thanks to you Ed for checking in on us...DH loved the messages! :thumbsup2 :tink:

Frontierland? Big Thunder Mt.?

Glad you made it home safely and he is okay. Surgery is never fun. I hope this is the last time either of you are in the hospital!
