Park, resort or other?
POP Century?
Shop, attraction or food service?
With the colors, I will guess Toy Story Mania?
Trying to understand the "wisdom" of Texas UIL officials this morning
. Every 2 years the State UIL "re-align's" our Districts determining which schools compete against one another in not only athletic but academic and band competitions. Our school district has been placed in a "strange" place
and Facebook is "buzzing" this morning. DD is friends with the wife of the Athletic Director and she's reported he's in total shock; newspaper editor is scratching his head...and parents are taking to "Google" trying to determine WHERE some of these schools are located!
Looks like Redstorm's freshman and sophomore years will involve a LOT of traveling time for us all...road trips around 150 MILES one way!

But y'all aren't confused with this crop. This is from Toy Story; tell me what/where....

When you are waiting in line, its the Etch A Sketch in the middle of the room.
This one may seem very strangebut I really like this picture.

Park, resort, or other? Looks like bird legs, so AK?
Shop, attraction or food service?
Sorry about your redistricting.
Everyone's thinking, "What were they SMOKING when they had that meeting".
Looks like we won't be making many of the away football games for the next 2 years!
At least the "must do" games of volleyball will be close; that's what's SO crazy
about how the schools redistrict. The basketball/volleyball/track/tennis/golf are in a different district than the football & soccer. So Redstorm's volleyball games will involve reasonable travel but, they play half the games on Friday nights and there's no way fans can drive from one to the other when there's 1 1/2 - 2 hours travel time involved.
Our poor newspaper editor REALLY has a problem since he tries to cover ALL sports. Soccer season will be a "pain"; that's when we WILL be making those long road trips with Redstorm's soccer team. Guess it's a good thing DH will be retiring; at least he won't have to take off work so we can leave at 2:30 in the afternoons to allow time to get through the Houston area evening traffic.

Annie is correct...this crop is of a birds legs. It's not in AK and not from a shop, attraction or food service.![]()
Is it a real bird? MK?
It's crazy how they determine things for high school sports. Our state goes by student enrollment. There are a few schools that we play that are over two hours away. Depends on the day of the week and what sport it is if we go or not.

That's even stranger than Texas' way!Our travel time will be close to 2 hours. There are 2 "routes"...1 involves 2 lane Farm to Market Roads which are SO dangerous, especially during bad weather and the other would involve taking I-45 North THROUGH HOUSTON during Friday evening traffic...which is bumper to bumper for MILES. They certainly weren't thinking of "children's safety" when they did this.

Yes Ma'am, this is a real bird but he's not in the MK either.![]()

Epcot or HS?
Hopefully there aren't many games on Fridays.Luckily we don't have any really big cities to deal with. Our traffic is I 93 north on Fridays with people from Mass and NH trying to get to the lake in the summer and the mountains in the winter. We have a back way we travel to Maine so we don't deal with any of that traffic.
Football games are ALL on Fridays; the good side of that is the kids don't have to be at school at 8 the next morning, the bad side is the traffic. Redstorm's soccer games will be mostly on Tuesdays and Thursdays with an occasional Monday thrown in. I-45 North, on Friday's, is a nightmare.
Like in NH, the "city folk" are all "getting out" to their country homes and/or lakes PLUS all the traffic added with "Friday Night Lights". The heavy starts around 3 in the afternoon and goes until 9 or 10 at night. A normal 20 minute commute easily turns into 1 1/2 hours. I'm guessing they'll use the "back roads" for the trip but then safety is in question. They're dark, curvy, sometimes slow traffic, numerous deer ... not a "good drive". At least her fall volleyball games will be locally...35 mile trip is the longest but, like I said...no way we'll be able to get to the football game AFTER she finishes.

My little birdie is not in Epcot or HS either...he's not in a park.
