We have a softball tournament this weekend. had a lot of rain so they cut all the games down from 3 today to 2. At least it's local. DD jammed her finger in the first game diving back to first. It's all swollen and she had to come out of the game. Not sure if she will play the next one.

Sorry to hear she got hurt! How is she doing? Did she play in the second game? How old is she now? Is your son ready to graduate? What are his plans?

Sorry to hear she got hurt! How is she doing? Did she play in the second game? How old is she now? Is your son ready to graduate? What are his plans?

The second game got rained out. She couldn't play so it worked out. Her finger hurt too much to catch a ball and she couldn't hold a bat. It was too bad she was going to pitch. Hopefully she can play tomorrow. She is 13, she will be 14 in July. She will be starting high school. DS graduates on June 14.He had his senior game for lacrosse on Friday. He is going to school for criminal justice. He is starting at a two year school then he wants to transfer to a four year.

Rain! Lucky YOU! I had to use my umbrella as a "sun shield" today! It's finally summertime in south central Texas! At least we're getting acclimated to the heat we'll face at DW in July! We had some injuries today too; DGD even "bit the dust" a couple of times but she's okay. One young lady has a swollen wrist and knee...was stepped on/run over by a, shall I say, rather large player on the opponents team But, as one Dad said, they were actually "playing like a soccer team" today! Good wins in both games.

Got up at 5:30 Had to be at the field for 7:00 but she wasn't playing so we went a little later. Went to the Dr had to see the on call Dr who I never saw before. She said it was a possible fracture but she wasn't sure. She is sending the xrays to ortho for them to look at on Tues. She put a splint on it and taped it. Next ASA tournament is in three weeks hope it's better by then. Looks like she won't be playing school games this week.

That's no fun! Doesn't look like they'll be any extra playing for a few weeks. The injury bug got DGD too today; hard push to the HARD ground (we're in desperate need of rain again ) resulting in a bruised tailbone and sitting out for a pretty lengthy period of time. Team lost so they were able to come home earlier than expected.

Sorry you had to go to the doctor on a Sunday morning. I hope her finger is not broken but, you're right, no games while it heals.

I have seen you post pictures of ostriches so I will guess your rock is near them.
