I thought you were going to Disneyland for your mother's 60th in 2015? Did you notice my ticker tape?

oh yes that is correct its 2015 but my mom said she would like to go to Florida instead this time

she has not been in a long long time and she has been looking at all my picture on facebook from our last two trips..

she said if we are going to do it why not go big lol plus with kinda Florida makes more sense because we would stay on site and getting around is easy

and I did notice your ticker :(

No Sir...not there either.

Finally had a little time to take pictures at DD & SIL's new house...is this the "kitchen look" you'd approve of? :lmao:

...and thought you might get a kick out of son-in-law's favorite sign in his game room. We gave this to him the first Christmas after he "married into" our family:

Very nice kitchen Goopy.

Is this from the Imagination?

Now once thru the booths we followed the road to the left and had the speedway on the left side at the 3 mile mark. I was still maintaining the pace that I wanted to. What is that pace you ask:goodvibes SLOW:lmao::lmao: I was still feeling good. ::yes::

...and it's finally getting LIGHT! How long did it take you to run the race? :tink:

They start very early so they can get the runner off of the roadway's earlier.

And I finished the run is all I will say for now:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Oh and I was not the slowest runner in my age group to cross the line :cool1:

They said that 26,000 had registered and that 20,245 crossed the finish line

They have character photo opportunities all thru out the course. Of course all of the faster runners made the lines long for the slower runners to stop and wait for pics.

That's a pretty good percentage finishing and good for you...not being the "slowest" in your age group! :rotfl2: As for how long it took you...all I'll say on that is I KNOW it was a shorter time than what mine would be...I'd have to measure my time in DAYS! :lmao: :tink:

Brick mortar stays as is. That "look" was recommended on the design. Funny story behind that too...they left for DW about the time the bricklayers began work. DH received a text a few hours later telling him to NOT demand that the bricklayers "clean" the brick...that's the look they wanted to keep. DH is NOT a fan of it but he's kept his mouth shut! :rotfl2: :tink:

Now Goopy you need to think as to why and how I have the name on the board that I have. That is what I get measured by :lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

Now the 5 mile mark is where the buses turn to drop everyone off for the MK.

Now the red numbers on the top of every mile marker is the total clock time in hours, minutes, seconds since the first runner started the race. I was at 1 hour 12 minutes at this point.

Ed the photos from the run are interesting. Certainly the only way I will ever see it! I don't see many people really running though and I see people walking. How long is it? 13 miles? And you are over an hour at 5 miles…

The kitchen looks new and I'm sure they have designed it just the way they want it. Lucky them to be able to build their own house!

Is your crop from someone on the ride?

Most of the participants follow Jeff Galloway's run, walk, run method to complete the 13.1 miles for the half or what ever distance the run is. There are certain choke points that you have to walk to get thru. Also the water stops are better to walk thru. Now your more elite runners or those that have been running for a long time will fly thru the course.

The winner in my age group was done with the run in an hour and 21 minutes. He was 52.

I could not run the entire distance yet but is a good way to get into shape.
