Where is the closest location to the front of the park to buy a Hidden Mickey's book?

That would probably at the Emporium. It's a huge store at the begining of Main Street. They carry a lot of merchandise so if you're in a hurry just ask a castmember to point you in the right direction!

also....I've seen them in most of the resort gift shops this last trip if you happen to be checking in before heading to the MK.

I belive I've seen them in the back of the Main Street Cinema, just across from the Emporium too.

why don't you get it before you leave? I was just in my local Barnes & Noble, and they have it there....

I was just going to say the same thing. I got my DS13 one for Christmas a few years ago at Barnes and Noble. I would probally be cheaper at B & N, too.

That's what I was thinking. It may be good to get it in advance so you can plan out the ones you want to find most, etc. and also get you [even more] excited for the next upcomming trip. I know my mom buys new guides every year just so we can get excited a couple months prior to leaving. It really helps the long, tedious wait before you get to go. ;)

I JUST ordered one from Barnes and Noble. It was 10.75. After doing that, I said to myself- guess I'll go over to the DIS and see what's new (only the 4th time today :rotfl2: ) and low and behold yall are talking about the Hidden Mickey book I JUST ordered!! :rotfl: Great minds think alike :teacher:

It's good to have one ahead of time to read through, but there are so many, that you really need to have the book with you in the parks. I got mine at Mouse Gear in Epcot. I would try to read through it before each country, but still ended up having to pull it back out and still couldn't find some of the Mickeys (Never did find the hidden Mickey in the electric train / village display)!! GREAT book though!!

You really can find it anywhere at WDW! I definitely vote for getting one before leaving though - any online site has it if your local bookstore does not. I think I got one from Amazon. I spent my 2 hour plane ride memorizing where I needed to look - then carried my book to the parks as well!

Steven Barrett is the author - and he has a site for Hidden Mickeys as well - www.hiddenmickeysguide.com - and you can actually purchase the book there. You can also check out the site under "Catalog" and see a LOT of HMs from his book - and more! (They even have your Germany HMs snowglobe girl!)

There's a good thread on the DIS right now with LOTS of pictures of HMs as well - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=907545 - So make sure that you take lots of pictures to post for us DISers!!!

You can get one when you buy your Passporter, Unofficial Guide, or any other guidebooks. And, you can save an extra 10% if you sign up for the Membership card- only $25 a year, and it saves you 10% on all your purchases- any B&N store, or on the web site!

...and three guesses as to what I do for a living... :rolleyes1

If you have a good used bookstore nearby you might check there. I recently bought last year's Hidden Mickey book for $2.00 and it looks brand new. The cover isn't even creased where you fold it back.
