I know requests are not guaranteed but if you were me and were going to make a request for a SSR area where would you stay?

We have 3 kids and we love the Grandstand area. It is the first stop on the bus routes!!

DO NOT stay in the Carousel area. We were there for the first time last September with DS's 3 and 2. We stayed in the building closest to the guard gate and the farthest away from everything else. Almost every afternoon we'd trek over to the Grandstand pool. The boys LOVED the water cannons. The pool there isn't zero depth entry like the main pool, but there are steps that little ones can sit on and play in the water.

Other than our location, we LOVED SSR and are planning on going back in Dec. Good luck getting your choice of areas and have fun!

On my recent trip with just my three year old daughter, we were in the Grandstand and it worked out pretty well for us. It was the first bus stop, so we always got a seat, and it wasn't too far to get breakfast or swim in the main pool.

We were only there a couple of days, but it appeared to me that no location was going to be convenient to everything.

We were at the springs with our 2yr old in September and thought the location was great. Close to the main pool, a walk across the bridge to a quiet pool, close to community hall, etc etc.

On our last trip we requested the Springs but ended up with the Grandstand. The Springs is the closest to the Carriage House and main pool but it is the last stop on the bus route for Disney Transportation. We loved the Grandstand section....we had one of the buildings right near the quiet pool. The quiet pool is very convenient with little ones if you don't have the time or energy to walk to the main pool. BUT the walk to the Carriage House/main pool is 5+ minutes....still very close. The Grandstand pool has a water play area that our boys loved. It's great for little ones because they can play and cool off without going in the pool. As previously stated, the Grandstand section is the first stop for the buses so you are first on and first off coming back from the parks, etc. If you have a car, this doesn't matter as much.

RLRDA - totally agree. Grandstand area is great for kids and when we were there, it wasn't crowded at all. But it doesn't have a cool slide like the main pool has. If you really want the convenience of it all, springs is your best bet. Plus, you can have beautiful views from your room of the fountain.

The Srings is a great location being so close to the Carriage house..BUT the Grandstand is our favorite!!!!

I vote for the Grandstand! We just got back and I was concerned staying at SSR, but we loved the Grandstand, first on the bus and better yet first off with tired kids at night. Our kids loved the pool and the sprinkler section with the horses you could shoot water at each other. We could run over to the Carriage House to pick up breakfast in a short time. IMHO I would also request this section everytime.

I hope you have a great trip!

I enjoyed the Grandstand for my 16-month-old mostly because it is the first bus stop. At the end of the day, when everyone is tired, you get off the bus first. Also, the Grandstand pool is nice and it wasn't crowded.
