Where in Epcot can you encounter the characters training?

I remember it's somewhere in the world showcase but I can't remember where. And is there a more likely time to see characters there?

We saw a whole lot of characters in between Canada and Britain I think...:confused3. Not positive though. They opened the big brown doors and out of this bldg came lots of obscure characters! A bunch of us sir of ran in and then they closed the doors behind us so we had private time while they signed everyone's books. Hope you chance upon it! Not sure what time of day that was. It's always a blur when we think back.:goodvibes

Great, thank you guys!! Sounds like they might not do it this time of year, but at least I'll peek over and see if anything magical is happening when we walk by ;)

Yes, they do train this time of the year. A friend reported finding Launchpad McQuack today. There were other characters at American Adventure too: "Brer Bear, Hook, and Terk were out as well. Everyone else that was there was very common"

In addition to January, training also takes place May through June.

This past Thursday we dropped by the American Pav for a meal and while eating a bunch of character trainees came out in that alley that is beside it.

We have frequently seen characters in the "ally" next to the American adventure. Once or twice we have seen them between Canada and UK. It seems to happen in the mid-afternoon, IIRC. They are sometimes difficult to find characters, like Br'er fox and Baloo the Bear.

HAH! I never knew that was character training. We'd just always get super pumped seeing a bunch of rare characters randomly showing up. How awesome. :) Once, we saw the $heriff of Nottingham! :)

At world showplace yesterday i saw Jafar, Mickey, Minnie, goofy, max, baloo, king louie, brer bear and Gideon! It was about 2:00

Wow! Awesome.... World Showplace??? Just around and about or is that a specific location? But then again, isn't it limited time magic? I'm guessing maybe that's why y'all saw so many?

Saw Baloo, King Louie, Big Al and Brer Bear at World Showplace. Saw Rapunzel at International Gateway yesterday.

I believe that is the area between Canada and UK in World Showcase.

Around what times do these characters pop up in Epcot? I will be there on Saturday and I've never caught a character training situation.

No set times, and near impossible to plan for. Best chance I would guess is late-morning to mid-afternoon.

I'm willing to bet there will be a good handful of rare characters out and about in these areas throughout the year as Disney trains its staff for the LTM weeks where retired characters are coming back. I can't imagine they've got a huge groups of staff who are friends with these characters! :goodvibes
