Where have you had bad food?

I am really surprised at the remarks about H&V. Maybe it depends on time of day or something? We went on Nov 5 for the Playhouse Disney breakfast - I was NOT expecting much, but I have to say it was a huge surprise. The buffet was spotless, bathrooms were spotless, food was hot and tasty, character interaction was fantastic with DS. The restaurant was less than half full, and the waitress paid tons of attention. We would definitely go back.

I don't know if you are right about it being the time of day. We have never done the Playhouse disney breakfast--are kids are all grown and we never thought of doing a character breakfast at MGM when they were growing up (if they even did them), but we have gone three times for dinner (twice for the Fantasmic Package and once to get out of the rain) and it was worse each visit. The bathrooms were filthy--floors, sinks, toilets, etc., and the food was medicore--what there was of it.

Rainforest Cafe- the seafood was really the worst I'd ever had...if I hadn't read the menu and known that the sampler platter I ordered had shrimp scampi on it, I wouldn't have known what I was eating because it was orange with no flavor. The rest of the shrimp had a very strong fish flavor...yuck. Our party of 4 (2 of which were kids age 15 and 8) thought it was the worst out of all of our visits to WDW. $150.00 for lunch and that was with a passholder "discount". Not again.

::shaking my head up and down::: I am right there with ya!!!!

This has to be the worst place we have eaten at WDW (AK location)

I live in New Orleans so whenever I travel, I expect the food to be dull to my spoiled taste buds. The only place that has ever impressed me FOOD WISE was Jiko's... with that said, my family goes to eat for the total experience, not just the food. We like the characters or the themes that most places have at WDW.

The Rainforest liked to gag us all!!!! It is actually a joke in this house! If I start making ADR lists for everyone to vote on and I get groans and moans about changing ADRs yet again ... well I tell the rest of my family, "Thats it! Its Rainforest the entire trip for you!" That gets them interested enough to help me with the ADRS REALLY QUICK :rotfl:

We also had the seafood and it was really bad. The lobster was so rubbery, we couldn't even chew it :rotfl:
One of my kids got the children's chicken nuggets and they were still FROZEN (not just cold) in the middle... he kept telling me his nuggets were cold and I didn't believe him at first until he split it apart and showed me the ICE :rotfl:
