Hey gang. I just made our PS's for our Dec trip. We usually have dinner at LTT while in the MK. I had to make very early PS's, I guess due to all the MVMCP attendees.

Is there someplace else you would reccommend for dinner at the MK before MVMCP? Thanks!

Hi. I'll be trying to make some kind of dining res for our MVMCP soon... I know people are getting 4 pm 90 days out, but what I'm wondering is, are all the restaurants open straight through while the park is closed getting ready for the party, or is it only Tony's and Crystal Palace?

Well, if we end up with 4 pm, I guess we'll do a late brunch-type breakfast, skip lunch, and fill up on cookies and hot chocolate later! Actually, now that I write it, that doesn't sound too bad.
:)

Pixie dust on all of us trying for that perfect ADR pre-party....

We have an ADR for 5:30 at CP.

I've got 4PM at the castle on purpose. The only thing I'm worried about is, will they let me in with my party tickets (ie, get bracelets) at 3:45ish? (I have an AP too) or will I have to run back out to the front after dinner (before 6pm) to get my bracelet so I don't get knocked out of the park when it closes.

You can eat at Crystal Palace, The Castle or the Plaza, taking Ps till 6:00p.

Then you can eat at LTT and Tony's throughout the party.

If you arrive before 4:00p, there will be other areas to get your wristbands. There will CMs around the park exchanging tickets for wristbands. Near City Hall and at the hub by the Castle or even in your restaurant.

To heathriel, as long as you are in the park and have your ticket, there are certain places in the park where they pass out bracelets. Check the special map for MVMCP or just ask a CM where they are passing out bracelets.

Thanks for the info, Beattyfamily.

I wasn't planning on burning a day on our park passes that day... so Heathriel's question about whether we can get in on MVMCP pass at 3:45 might be urgent for me if we get 4 pm seating! :guilty: Any way to find out, other than showing at the gate at 3:45 and being told we have to wait till after four, thus losing our ADR time?
Anybody have any experience with this... will having an ADR at 4 get us any sympathy from the gate so they let us in on our MVMCP pass?

Stacy, sorry I'm hijacking your thread...

*sigh* don't flame me, but why is it such a big deal to have an AR at a TS restaurant before MVMCP? I think one poster had it right....the perfect dinner is cookies and cocoa. I figure I'm spending alot on the MVMCP, I'd hate to spend a basket full on a sit down meal that we wouldn't be patient enough to sit thru (b/c we're antsy and excited about the party!) I'd rather save a TS for a time when the family can actually enjoy it as a special treat....I think trying to squeeze so much into one day would be too overwhelming. We're just going to try out CS at Columbia Harbor House. I hear their chicken salad is to die for! Then we can run over to TL and get the free pics & mabey the first showing of Twas the Night out of the way before the party even starts...YEAH more time for RIDES! :Pinkbounc

Well, then I'd make a later ADR. They will not let anyone in before 4:00p with only a party ticket. They are already doing us a HUGE favor by letting us have 3 extra hours from when the party officially starts at 7:00p.

I suggest anyone wanting to eat before the party but NOT wanting to use a park pass and wanting to get in with only the party ticket to make ADR at 4:15p or later.

I second what was said about getting in to the park before 4:00 with just a ticket to MVMCP. We did MNSSHP two years ago but spent the day in the park so we just got our bracelets in the park. Last year we did MVMCP and did not spend the day in the park. We got to the entrance to MK between 3:30 and 3:45 and had to wait till 4:00. They do something with the turnstiles and this did not happen till 4:00. I would recommend making slightly later reservations. I believe you also have a 15 minute window after your reservations so if you cannot change them I would make sure to get to the MK by at least 3:45 and get in line to be first in when they change the turnstiles. If you get in by 4:00 move as quickly as you can to the castle. You might want to call Disney Dining and ask them this question (about the 15 minute window - I am not sure if it is "official" and considering you are eating in the castle you might have to wait a bit.

As far as eating before the party we ate at LTT before MVMCP - I believe our reservations were for 5:00 - and although we did not miss any of the party because we were out by 6:15 - I feel I would have liked to be spending that time enjoying the park. There was also a early showing of "Mickey's Night before Christmas" at the Galaxy Theater (I believe at 6:30 or 6:45). We ran there after dinner and the place was packed - we got standing room only in the back. We wanted to do this early show so we would have the rest of the night to enjoy everything. When we attended MNSSHP we did not eat at a sit down restaurant, we just had hot dogs from Casey's while watching the first Halloween Parade and finished the hot dogs off with ice cream from the Main Street Ice Cream Parlor.

I like your thinking Linda...hmmm Hotdogs during parade followed by icecream. Thinking husband would go for this if we substitute hot dog with ostritch......I mean turkey leg.

They will let you in with your AP before 4:00p not your party tickets...then just exchange your tickets for wristbands elsewhere like from a CM by the Castle or even in your restaurant. You won't have to leave the park!

I have an resservation for Tony's at 6pm. But I was told the party doesn't start until 7pm. Is that correct?

Yes, that is correct. The festivities start at 7:00p

Officially, the party starts at 7:00. You can get in at 4:00 with a ticket. I would suggest getting in at 4:00 so you have a few hours to enjoy the park before you eat. By the time you get out of Tony's, it should be "snowing" on Main Street.

We have a 5:25 ADR at CRT which I am very excited about! Lilly, we will be there on the 9th also! :)
