Where do you stay on Fri., Sat. to save pts.??

We are comming in late also so we conserve our points on weekends. Sometimes we stay at the Swan & Dolphin. This year I went through Hotwire and asked for the highest # of stars and got the Wyndham in the Village. It looks great and the rate is $122 for Spring Break Weekend. Once we stayed at the Hilton Grand Vacations for 3 days including the weekend and had to live through the tour but it was fine. A lot of difference between Disney. It's nice to remember why you choose Disney.

We occasionally spend the first night in another Disney resort, maybe CS or S/D. We try not to move out of our DVC resort once we are there until we leave. I hate to move around. We have plenty of points so that we just average them out over the entire time. Forget about the higher weekend points.

our "annual plan":
- saturday arrival ~ try a new resort (this year is AKL savannah view, last was GF lodge tower/aka "turret" room, prev was YC concierge, etc ~ btw, we pack a "one night resort " bag)
- sunday thru thurs nights ~ DVC resort using points
- fri & sat nights ~ same DVC resort paying cash (& linked to our DVC ressie, so far we've been able to stay in same room this way :) ).

& if we stay that sunday, it's back to points for the 1 night (linked ressie).

it requires a little bit of planning (which i enjoy), and gives us a fun & seamless vacation (btw, we have 400 points ~ we just like getting more more "milage" out of them).

Last June we arrived late in the afternoon and had a ressie at Sierra Suites near DD. The rate was $79 and was nice. The best part was that I got 10 skymiles for every dollar, one night equal 790 skymiles! Not to bad!:)

Now if we stay OVER a weekend we'll stay in our DVC room!

Do what we do and do the three day cruise!!!!It is over the Th-S
weekend!!!!

It is wonderful!!!!!
