Do you have a special viewing spot?

just wondered... last time we kinda got a bit lost.. lol... and ended up stuck on the castle bridge for one parade and could hardly see... but for Fantilliusion we were down near the bottom of Main Street and got to walk along behind Minnie... :Pinkbounc

anyone have any tips?

also... are the parades in Studios good? worth seeing or would it be better to spend more time in the main park and catch their parades both days?

depends on the parade and the crowds as we could never sit for an hour camping out a spot :confused3

For Fantillusion we were at stage and saw the change-over which was excellent.
A good spot which seems to have little crowds is Belle Notte. Most of the parades start here so you have the full attention of characters :)

We always stand at the bottom of Main Street by the StoryBook shop. It's never too crowded.

The times of the Parades in the Studios don't clash with the Main Park parades. In the winter the Studios Parade is approx 1.30pm ish I seem to recall - I would say it's worth seeing, we always enjoy it. You see characters you don't see in other parades ie The Incredibles and Cruella De Ville.

I'd go for watching in each park if possible.
The studios is normally earlier about 2pm, I think and Disneyland Park is normally about 4pm.
For the studios we watched at the end of the route at flying carpets. For Disneyland Park we watched one day at the corner of the arcade nearest Plaza Gardens and another sitting at the end seats on the castle stage both were good.

Hi,

The Studios parade starts at 1.30pm, and is well worth seeing. Watch it near the flying carpets, and at the end all the characters will reappear to converge on the last float and declare " Thats a wrap!"

Don't know if your going during the Christmas season but if you are...

The main Christmas Parade starts at 4pm - but beware the parades are running "backwards" for the christmas season. So it will start in Main Street and finish in Fantasyland. I'd stand on Main Street where it will snow during the parade.

Fantillusion starts at 7pm in Fantasyland, and with it running backwards I'd recommend standing on Central Plaza near the entrance to Frontierland where you can see all 3 stops.

Hope this helps.

Great advice everyone!!!
There is something really magical about those parades isn't there - like no matter how old you are, for a minute when you watch the parades, everyone around you is the same age... :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

I read somewhere that fantillusion has been reversed. Can anyone confirm this as if it has I need to change my plans for that evening, as getting out of the park will be horrendous. Everyone will follow the parade out of the park..

Thanks

Yes I can confirm 100% Fantillusion's route has been reversed.

And it starts 30mins earlier than last year at 7pm

We watched the halloween parade from the area just outside the Fantastia Gelati Ice cream parlour where we sat with a nice coffee. We had an excellent view when the parade just started!

so Fantillusion comes down from the Castle end down Main Street now?? (can't remember which way it went last time... duh!)

Yes, it starts from Fantasyland and travels to Town Square, it used to start at Town Square and work it's way up Main Street to Fantasyland. This means that the parade stops are different to where they used to be, which is apparantly causing a few problems.

On another note it appears that the villains floats in Fantillusion are also in a different order ie. Ursula, Jafar then Maleficent last (so that the dragon appears in front of the castle).
