I've heard some suggestions about 'splitting' meals to save money...and room for dessert! :goodvibes

What restaurants have you done this at? Do they frown on asking to share/split a meal? :confused3

We typically just order appetizers instead of entrees. That way we get to try a greater variety of different things.

We generally share meals at Rainforest Cafe, Animal Kingdom, and at the Pepper Tree Market.

we're thinking about 'sharing' some meals at 50's so we can have room for the S'mores dessert that we've heard so much about (and didn't have room for on our last visit)! :cool1: Also thinking about other places like Whispering Canyon, etc. Any thoughts? :confused3 I don't want to be 'embarassed' or cheap if asking to share/split a meal or two.

The Rainforest Cafe is very generous with portion sizes. You could easily split something there and that way you'd still have room for a ... VOLLCAANNOOO!

we normally share at breakfast where ever we go as the portions are normally big, we also snack & share through out the day especially at epcot cause theres so much to eat & try.

Just myself & DW, but we split meals just about everywhere. Portions are usually large & we have found so many snacks at the parks that we like & want to save room for. Disney is great about splitting. The only place they ever gave us a hard time was at Whispering Canyon where the waiter kept calling me Sharon after I told him we would be sharing our meals (all in good fun, of course!).

I split meals with DD4 @ CRT, 50's PT. Some other places we paid out of pocket for her meals and saved her credits we did this at Plaza in Magic Kingdom. Everyone was great about it. We also split at every CS, Tusker house, ASMo Food Court.

My daughters and I always share meals. Le Cellier we all get a salad and then 2 steak meals to split. One time they brought a plate and the other time they split it in the kitchen for us. They were great about it. Same for San Angel Inn....got the nachos appetizer then we order 2 entrees to split. China we order 2 appetizers and 2 orders of that wonderful Honey Sesame chicken every time.....can't get enough of that. Italy we each get a salad then split 2 orders of Fettucine....yummy. The only place we don't split is France because we all like something different......they like salmon or some kind of fish and I like steak. Never get any dessert after meals because we are too full and there are so many wonderful coffee and dessert places to try. Our favorite is the bakery in France......I get a glass of Merlot and they get cappucino.....but, we get at least 3 desserts to share because there are way too many to choose from and we love them all. I have never had any problem with sharing and hopefully they will not start a sharing charge like many restaurants do. There is just too much food to not share in our case.
