I was born & raised in Westfield, New Jersey and my wife hails from Mattoon, Illinois.

We are currently long-time residents of Decatur, Illinois....the original home of the Chicago Bears (Formerly the Decatur Staleys) and the town where the fly swatter was invented. :hyper: :Pinkbounc

Southeastern New Hampshire here, where tonight it is supposed to go below zero! Enough to freeze your little mouse ears off!:earseek:

:bounce: FOLKS, WE HAVE A TIE!

As a former New Jersey resident I have great interest in the location debate.

My son's geography book describes New Jersey as being located in the NORTHEAST!!!!

But get this. New Jersey is listed as being one of the Middle Atlantic states!!!!!!

We have a tie and this tie can not be broken. :teeth:

The Northeast encompasses a larger area -- as Dan's map shows. The original poster made an error (I do everytime I post a poll) -- the states listed are a part of the Northeast (as are the Middle Atlantic States) but are really the New England states. ;) New Jersey is still north of the Mason Dixon line so it is part of the Northeast, not Southeast.

We live in Ohio, and we'll probably be retiring to Florida in '07. We'll keep NJ as our summer home.

Back when I went to school, elementary in the '50's I lived in NJ and it was a Middle Atlantic State.

We live in East Lansing, MI.

It seems like a lot of DVCer's are either from the NE or the Midwest.

Well, it's 6 degrees below zero right now in my corner of the NE... bet it's a bit warmer at OKW :sunny:

Cary, NC which is a suburb of Raleigh, home of the N.C. State Wolfpack.

BTW - it is snowing right now and is very pretty. Just hope it doesn't create any road problems. We don't do good in snow down here.
