Where do you like to eat at DLR?

We usually go to WDW, but DD6 and I are headed to DLR in late June!

I have lunch ressies for Blue Bayou, and Brunch at Goofy's.

I wouldn't mind adding 2 more sitdowns (they don't have to be character....though Ariels grotto could be fun).

Also, where are the best counter spots. I'm not a burger person, but I will eat Boca burgers (not a vegetarian, but I do like those).

Thanks!

For table service I would say Cafe Orleans, Carnation Cafe and Wine Country Trattoria (DCA).

For counter service we like Rancho Del Zocalo and Pizza Port. :)

My absolute favorite is Goofy's Kitchen (I hope you enjoy your meal there!) - it has great, quality food and fantastic variety, but I also very much enjoy:

Table Service

Carnation Cafe (DL) - for beakfast, lunch, dinner OR dessert only; love the meat loaf stack and the applie pie a la mode, as well as the Matterhorn Sundae
Wine Country Trattoria (DCA) - good meatball sandwich and huge pizzetta salad
Storytellers Cafe (the non-character meal in the GCH) - GREAT spaghetti and sandwiches
ESPN Zone (DTD) - excellent chicken tenders and thick milkshakes
Rainforest Cafe (DTD) - try the chicken fried chicken and the Rain Forest Ricky
Naples (DTD) - smallest pizza can feed 2 or 3 people; good food

As for Counter Service or Buffeteria-style places, I like:

River Belle Terrace (DL) - home of the Mickey Mouse pancakes
Plaza Inn (DL) - famous fried chicken and good desserts
Bengal BBQ (DL) - good chicken skewers!
Blue Ribbon Bakery (DL) - LOVE the messy, gooey cinnamon roll and blended mocha
Taste Pilots Grill (DCA) - great BBQ chicken sandwich, soft criss-cut fries and tasty onion rings!

counter service/table - plaza inn

burgers - hungry bear

White Water Snacks (counter service) in the GCH is my favorite place to get away from the chaos of the parks and just sit and relax. Great food and good prices too!

We just got home last week from our first trip to Disneyland. We tried several different restaurants. Our favorite sit-down was Cafe Orleans hands down. We also loved Carnation Cafe where Oscar the chef interacts with the patrons. He is very sweet! And, of the 3 character meals we did, my 4 kids enjoyed Lilo & Stitch the most. I never would have predicted that, but they had lots of fun and interaction with the characters there. Have fun! I'm still having dreams of eating the food at Disneyland, and we've been back for a week!

don't need PS's, but River Belle Terrace for brekki. Yum :)
We love Pizza Port for pasta and salads. Probably ate there 3 times on our last trip. :cool1:
Carnation cafe get a PS there for sure :)
Those are just a few :thumbsup2

I use to love Blue Bayou! Now I don't like the new menu or the pricing. The ambience is really the only reason to go anymore. :sad2:

We ALWAYS make a lunch ressie for Storytellers Cafe, gotta have that corn chowder! :tigger:

Thanks for all the great ideas. I'm gonna go explore the menu's and get my PS's in order.

River Belle Terrace for sure!

Just to throw it in there, if you like corndogs, you'll LOVE the Little Red Wagon on Main Street!:hyper:

We love Trattoria ~ if you time it right you have a lovely view of the Pixar Parade! We've done this our last 3 trips to DLR!

Ariel's is fun ~ the new lunch/dinner menu is good. I prefer the breakfast @ Minnie's over Goofy's ~ less $$, more characters, in the park ~ we do a brunch there after our MM. Chip & Dale's Critter breakfast (Storytellers Cafe) is nice.

For CS we enjoy the Chicken Fusilli @ Red Rockets (I think) over by Space Mountain, my kids and I split it along with the bread stick (it's big), we also enjoy White Water Snacks ~ DD and I split the French Dip.

The corn dogs are yummy!

Cafe Orleans, Carnation Cafe, storytellers and white water snacks!! ( does not mean we do not eat any where else, but we love these places so look for them first.)

My family always eats lunch at Pizza Port. Large portions, not too expensive.

One more thing ~ earlier this month we stopped by Carnation Cafe (I had a PS) for the Matterhorn Sundae! It was so fun, (that's all we ordered) it was too much for the 3 of us! I'll have to post the picture, there is a picture somewhere on here already.

DisneyMomma81 - What is the "right" timing for seeing the Pixar Play Parade from WCT? What time would you make a PS for?

As a side note, I'm also in Northern Utah! :yay:

I love ESPN Zone. The food is better than your standard sports bar food, and the prices are reasonable for a Table Service Restaurant on DLR property. The video games are a bonus too.

Hello neighbor! We're in Pleasant View. Let's see earlier this month the last PS available was 5pm ~ the parade started @ 5:30 or 5:45. A 5:15 PS would've been preferred but I took what I could get.

For table service I like Storyteller's Cafe and for counter service I like Plaza Inn and River Belle Terrace.
