Another WISHer here. Hi Stacie!

Have fun at the Minnie weekend!
You may have seen some of us W.I.S.H.ers at Disney and other races--we're the ones wearing lime-green shirts that say
DLF>DNF>DNS (Dead Last Finish is Greater than Did Not Finish which GREATLY TRUMPS Did Not Start) and
"WISH gave me the courage to start." As Stacie said, we have lots of different folks on the WISH forums and the races attract both walkers and runners and everyone in between.
So when I'm planning a trip, I hang out on the theme parks, dining, and resort threads. 90% of my time, though, is spend on WISH on the Events/Competition subforum. My DH is a runner, and he found the way to get me to participate in events is to tell me we could have an extra-long vacation at WDW if we did marathon weekend. After that, I was so in! I started walking, then run-walking, and completed my event. I dropped weight, got fit, and met tons of friends through WISH!
And since DH has discovered that I'm much more supportive of his running expenses if a race involves a trip to Disney, he's agreed to even more Disney races. That means more Disney trips, APs, and now he's even talking DVC. And those of us who do the January marathon weekend (whether it's the 5K, 1/2 marathon, full marathon, or Goofy marathon and a half) have an informal meet where we get to spend time with our online friends and training partners. So doing Disney is a win-win-win situation.
So I just have to second Stacie's invitation--come on over to WISH and, if you're looking for me, try the E/C subforum. It doesn't matter if you want to lose a few (or many) pounds, are looking to start exercises, thinking about walking/running for fitness or for races, or wanting to do your first marathon. We've got all types of "We're Inpsired to Stay Healthy" folks there--and we'd love for you to be one of them!
