Where do you get your kids Disney vacation clothes?

I know a lot of people buy personalized/custom clothes -- I don't. I have 3 girls and I try to get them matching/coordinating outfits that "go with" the park we're visiting.

The outfits don't always have a Disney character. This morning I purchased 3 zebra striped sun dresses from Gymboree for our Animal Kingdom day.

When buying character clothes I generally do it at a discount store (Burlington Coat Factory has Disney shirts for them AND me!) and I surf the Disney Store Online for clearence. Walmart and Target have character shirts but it's usually hard to find the same shirt in all 3 girls sizes.

So, where do you shop?

Target, Gymboree, Disney Store, FabKids every now and then, Old Navy. We don't always go all Disney out. Sometimes it's just basic tanks and shorts.

Last year, I was able to get some cute stuff for both me and the boys at Target (Star Wars shirts that we wore on HS day, some Disney Character shirts, etc.). I bought them from Target.com when they were on sale and then also got an additional 5% off for using my RedCard debit card- pretty happy about that. I also found some cute things at Old Navy but it was mostly in my youngest's size (4T-5T and younger) and not so much for the older boys. Good luck!

I buy most of it from Old Navy and Target. I actually prefer their character shirts much more than tees from the Disney Store. There's something about the Disney Store kids t-shirts that I just hate the way the fit and feel.

I used my kid's regular clothes, kind of tried to color coordinate the family (knowing my husband was going to wear a blue plaid shirt every day) and then I bought some ribbon spools that had things like princesses on them and tied them as a bow in her hair that day. Example: blue outfit for MK and CRT. She looked awesome next to Cindy!

But then it was standard items from children's place, gymboree...it was september and HOT so I was mostly concerned that backup pieces would go and that she was comfortable and cool.

I have thought about buying from a DISer's etsy store because she does cute t shirts with silhouettes on them that would work with lots of items.

We're going in August so I'm trying to keep it cool. I like the idea of solid color shirts with princess hair bows! Thanks :)

I just looked around on JCP. They have cute dresses!

The usual suspects -- Target, Wal-Mart, Disney Store. JCP has some cute stuff but haven't purchased anything from there. Right now, in the boy's section of Target, there are some funny Star Wars shirts. I also tend to go more solids as we can look more cohesive for family pictures that way.

We got ours at the places mentioned above - I can see how it would be hard to find matching shirts for 3 girls! I have 2 boys and 1 girl so the only time we matched on our trip was when we wore shirts with iron-ons. Miss Morgan designs has the most adorable iron-ons. I bought shirts at Hobby Lobby and the iron-ons from Miss Morgan when she had a sale, the shirts ended up costing about $10 each total.

Typically I try to match the boys' shirts by color (such as - they all have grey shirts, but not necessarily the same exact design or character on them). I am lucky to have a Disney outlet near my home, but even there it can be hard to find the same shirts in the right sizes for everyone. As others have mentioned, Old Navy, Target and Walmart have some good inexpensive options for the entire family. As my girls got older/bigger and want more trendy styles (they will not wear the basic crew-neck tshirts that so many Disney shirts are), I have had success at a few of the junior's stores - like Rue21 and Delia's.

When you have multiple kids, a resale shop that sorts clothes by color, like Once Upon a Child, is really handy. We like to have days where everyone is in blue or orange or whatever. Orange is really good because not as many people wear orange, so it stands out a lot more than navy or red.

I'm a mom of 5 boys (expecting my 6th boy before our next trip). We obviously don't need any cute princess dresses, and the older boys don't want characters of any sort on their shirts. The Disney Store at our local outlet mall has character shirts for a good price, so I can get ones with the same color for the little boys for some of the days, and then I can easily get shirts in the same color at Once Upon a Child. Lands End is good for buying plain, nice shirts in basic colors, too, especially since my oldest will probably be in men's sizes before our next trip.

For shirts that will use iron on transfers or something like that, Hanes has a nice online store.

I am actually doing iron transfers for my ds. That way he can have a fun personalized shirt or two and I don't have to mortgage my house for Etsy. ;)

Huh. It never crossed my mind to buy "vacation clothes" specifically. I did get each kid an olaf tshirt before our last trip because they were on sale for $4.99 the week before we left.

Usually, I just get their clothes from the dresser drawer. Yet another thing to add to the therapist list when they're older.

We almost always travel in the winter. So when my kids wouldn't normally be in warmer weather clothing. So often at the end of the season I will buy things and put them away in a bigger size, because for some reason my kids grow like bad weeds:love: I often go for vintage gymboree in second hand stores so that I can find things off season for DD and DS if needed if they have outgrown everything.

I don't always put them in all disney. I try to have us all look like " We are going to the same party". So colour or theme is similar. We have lots of disney stuff but we don't always have them wear it.

Last year I got most of ours from Old Navy, Children's Place and Kohls

We kept our eyes out for sales before our trip for character shirts at Target and such places. I also took back some shirt my grandmother-in-law got them (she bought shirts with characters they weren't that into) and was able to find coordinating boy and girl shirts that both had stripes. When packing for the trip I just got everything out together and did my best to make sure we all coordinated not so much matched. However with a girl and a boy it's difficult to find matching stuff. I also didn't do a single color but looked at it like when picking clothes for a family portrait where there were about three colors that our clothes contained plus neutrals. My husband and I mostly wore just regular shirts although I had one Disney shirt for me. I also matched up shorts and such. I packed the clothes in a ziplock bag (one for the kids one for my husband's shirt and my clothes then he just picked one of his pairs of khaki shorts each day), which meant nobody was arguing about what to wear each day and my husband could help get the kids dressed without getting frustrated by me expecting certain clothes.

Also try looking up Disney Garage Sale on facebook. People sell used things their kids have outgrown as well and brand new personalized tshirts etc. I've found all kinds of good stuff on there at reasonable prices.
