Sorry I know that this has probably been a question that has already been asked but I can't find an answer so I was wondering if anyone could help?
We are hoping to come down in December and we will be flying. We stay onsite and do NOT rent a car.....so my question is where/how is the most reasonable option to get a few grocery items such as bottled water and snack/breakfast foods? TIA!!!

We've always packed snacks in our luggage. That way, when the snacks are gone, we have more room for souvenirs!

We buy the bottled water at the parks, so can't help you there. Some people ship water to the resort.

We order our snacks, water and juices from gardengrocer.com.

Another HUGE vote for gardengrocer.com. They were AWESOME!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for all the quick responses! I checked out their website and it looks great! Do you have to be there when they deliver or do they deliver to the front desk? Thanks :sunny:

Another alternative for water shipping is Staples.com. It was free shipping if you joined their rewards and wonderful! We even needed more during our stay and called to have more shipped. We saved so much money and stayed hydrated much better than we would if each bottle were 2.50 apiece...it was wonderful!

We also pack snacks in luggage and use the room for souviners for the return trip. We used the britta water bottles so didnt need water.

The transportation service we used, www.transportation2disney.com, would make a free 30 minute grocery stop for you from the airport to the hotel. Plus you didnt have to wait on a bus and it is cheaper than paying for a taxi or other transportation. Also, they had free car seats and you could rent other things from them like a stroller. Here is a copied section from their website:

They will deliver to the front desk if you are not in your room. Gardengrocer recommends that you state in the message space at check out that you would like your delivery accepted by the bellman if you are not there.

We used Staples.com and had a few cases of water delivered to the front desk, if you sign up for staples rewards(free) you get free shipping...i called instead of doing it online so i knew exactly when it would be delivered...also if you use this call the resort and ask exactly what you should put on the delivery.
As far as snacks..we take down a small (child size) suitcase and carry it on the airplane...we took a bunch of boxes of small cereal, fruit snacks, chips etc...

we went to the dollar tree by us and purchased water, cereal, snacks, bowls ,utensuls etc...for a 1$$ each. we packed in a box and are shipping it a week before we get there. th eshipping is allot cheaper than what garden grocer is gonna charge you. good luck!!

I have had items shipped to me at the resort using wegoshop.com and they were terrific. They can deliver to bell service if you wish and unlike some of the others they do deliver beer & wine. Since they aren't a grocery store but a shopping service you can also request specific stores if you wish. I just gave them my list and they choose the best place based on my items.

Depending on the trip I have also opted for a town car instead of ME to get to the resort from the airport and back. Most offer a complimentary grocery stop so if it is a longer trip with the kids this saves more than enough to pay the cost of the towncar which runs about $100.00 r/t -/+.
