Where Do You Eat If you are NOT on the DDP?

We booked the buffets in each park, then hit a counter for a burger, etc later on. We also bought a few snacks throughout the day & each day I always averaged $35.00. We found the buffets were the best value & we loved all of them. I have to say though, since it was my friends & I, we paid individually, so I know the price tends to double if people are paying for their entire family.

We have DDE also. We go next week and have planned for TS Whispering Canyon, O'Hanas, Mama Melrose, the Plaza at MK, maybe Konas for lunch, Beaches N Cream, Coral Reef, and possibly ESPN for lunch. We will eat b fast in the room. We will eat lunch at DTD day of arrival (?maybe House of Blues which has AP discount and was good last time). We'll do CS lunch in MGM, not sure where yet. Also plan to snack and drink around the world one night! It all works out. Just split stuff with your kids. They never finish anyways! Also saves room for Dole Whips!:dance3:

If you're looking for less expensive TS, consider having your big meal at lunch instead of dinner. We find that a small snack in the morning will carry us over to lunch. Make a fairly early lunch ADR and then have a CS dinner.

Some of our favorites are:

The Plaza at MK (same prices for lunch and dinner)
Trail's End buffet at FtW for any meal (even dinner is reasonably priced)
Liberty Tree Tavern at MK for lunch (no characters at lunch)
Crystal Palace at MK for breakfast if you're looking for a character meal
Sci Fi at the Studios for lunch
Kona Cafe at the Poly (dinner can be pricey but breakfast and lunch aren't)
